If he can't get on in a dead rubber versus Bayern or in a FA cup game versus Boro when we he is our only recognised striker then his advisors should be thinking hard before he signs a new deal with us.
I'm desperate for him to succeed here not just for spurs but also because it means Ireland would have a premiership striker from my club but if he signs a deal Im not sure it'd be the best decision for him. This is a huge moment for him I just hope he makes the right choice.
I’d say the timing was bad. Mourinho needs to put his stamp on this team and fielding a second string right now would be a missed opportunity. He needs to be patient. Chances will come.

I know timing wasn't great even with Bayern going 3-1 up when it looked like he was being called off the bench and that changed Jose's mind as he didn't want another thumping.

It's just if I was looking at it from Troy's point of view there are other clubs who would be very interested in him and while not having a pop at Jose are managed by lads with a better history of playing youth players.

He needs to give him minutes versus Boro in the return leg, if he doesn't then would fear for him staying.

I really can't see him getting a chance with Mourinho. I reckon he'll be better going on loan

I thought he’s been injured? I’m sure someone posted a picture of him in a hospital bed

that was not Parrott. If i remember right that was Bowen (but someone thought it was Parrott).
Parrott arrived with the squad today and even had his shirt and his boots in the dressing room (look at the video from spurs official twitter). He simply did not make the bench today.

Very disappointing.

This is a lad we're trying to convince that he's better off with us?? Said it last week that if he didn't get a chance in this game his advisors really need to think hard whether staying with us is the best decision for him. If we have no striker and he still can't make the bench then what's the point?! He's 18 next month so it's a crucial 2/3 years for him.
Damn shame if he doesn't fulfil his potential with us.

Genuine question from someone who has hardly seen footage of him. Is he really as special as people are making out? Or is he another Connor Wickham that excels in his own age group due to being more developed then most other 17 year olds?

He's a decent sized lad for his age but he wouldn't stand out on pitch for his size. I have played with lads who have looked amazing at that age because they were monsters (one won player of tournament at Milk Cup with West Ham) so I know where you're coming from but he's got a lot more to him than size.

only time will tell on that but whilst he's well built he's not exactly massive - about 5'11.

you can see in his general play and his finishing that he just has "it" though, nothing to do with any physical advantage. i doubt you will find many better 17 year old strikers around anywhere, not that it means he'll definitely be one of the best strikers in a few years time but he would be a big loss and not one we can afford given kane's worrying trend of injuries.

No one knows but he looks like a decent talent, think he’s playing for the Ireland first team... could be wrong tho.

My older brother is a Ipswich fan and I would go games with him when I was not watching Spurs so I watched Connor Whickham play a fair bit when he first got into the Ipswich first team.

The difference between Whickham at the same age and Parrott are that Parrott is the better all round player and he can see the bigger picture and bring others into the game more.

Whickham was a powerful guy for his age and this helped him a lot, out of the two Parrott is also the better finisher of the two payers and I think he will be a better player than Whickham turned out to be.

Parrott has weaknessess he is not blistering fast but he is fast enough, he can lose the plot if things do not go his way and I think he will see a few red and yellow cards in his career but I see no reason why he could not go on to be a top player.

Need to do what Chelsea did with Tammy Abraham and loan him out to clubs where he'll get at least 30 games a season under his belt. Surely it's better for his development to be playing regular first-team football even if it's at Championship level than being on the Spurs first-team bench with little or no game time.
