Well Poch obviously doesn't know the law does he!!! I've just back from lunch so haven't found out much except my brother who was at the game said it was "pathetic" and relegation form. Was it that poor?
Yes

Is that some sort of joke?

Our confidence went down! lol...against a side as poor as that.

That's a pretty pathetic remark to come from a captain.

No fucking wonder we've no backbone, if that's our mindset. In fact it says it all.

To be honest I really can't even take Kaboul seriously as captain & it says it all about our lack of leaders/grit in the team that he was even considered. If we had strengthened our defence adequately in the summer he wouldn't even be in the team let alone club captain.

Agreed. Right now I'm thinking how I can adapt Allen Carr's easyway to quit smoking into the easyway to quit Tottenham.

I can quit smoking but not Tottenham. How can that be explained?
I wish I could explain it . I will be back for more of the same on Wednesday and probably some kid from the u-21s will be the new saviour.

I'm also going to trot it out again, most people here thought James Milner was beneath us, think again, his bollocks are bigger than our entire squads.
He's not coming to us anyway, he's getting plenty of game time with the champions.

Whilst i agree with the majority of this, we did score first with Ade and then promptly shit the bed, Ade in all honesty should have been taken off with Lamela.
That's the thing, he might grab you the odd goal but his time on the pitch overall will hurt your attack as he disrupts the flow of quick-thinking players trying to create fluid combinations.

We needed two signings this summer. Top class center back, top class forward. Could have spent 20 mill on each. Instead we spent that money on average squad players

Absolutely no backbone. Pathetic performance. Lightweight.

The most depressing thing about today's performance and result is that I'm not even shocked.

Yeah i get that, but a couple of transfer windows back people were saying he was shit, offers nothing, overrated etc, i bought him up again because he is the character we lack.

Fair play, I was one of them, though he has stepped his game up considerably. Would welcome him with open arms at the moment tbf. Need proper fight.

But didnt We hire the manager for his alleged prowess in building a cohesive team just saying

We supposedly did but to combine that with putting all or eggs in the unpredictable Ade/Soldado/Lamela/Chadli basket was simply asking for trouble.

There was no contingency plan, and we cocked it up good and proper.

Pochettino is struggling, but I just think this job is a lose-lose situation right now, so don't want to bag on him too much. That said I'm worried about the lack of clear emotion we are seeing from him. I hope he's not been broken already!

Even more depressing is that despite me being one his biggest detractors, Tim Sherwood is being proved absolutely right...

"Top four...they're miles away..."

"They are too nice to each other..."

"They are all much of a muchness.."

and so on.

Did we spend a fortune last summer to address our glaring needs at centre-back, striker, left-wing forward, and central midfield? We opted for lesser squad players because we didn't have enough money in incoming transfer fees to cover the cost of buying Schneiderlin, Mussachio, and Remy.

Give me some examples of players that you believe would have us improve on our 69 point haul from last season (one of the best in the club's history) and you'll immediately see that those players wouldn't have been attainable because they cost more money.

Man U spent a quarter of a billion and have a world renowned manager and they still lose to Leicester and draw with the likes of WBA.

Spending money guaranteed nothing.

I guess our players never thought Newcastle had it in them to come out fighting. They thought everythings over.
I have no explanations to what happenned today.
If it all I have to put the blame on someone, it has got to be Poch.
Had it been any other manager with common sense, they would have replaced Lamela & Eriksen straight after Newcastle scored.
Season is already kind of over IMO. Our players have already started to going through the motions. Its going to be another dreadful depressing season

I'm so down and disappointed about Tottenham at the moment, there is something seriously rotten at the club and things need to change drastically, from top to bottom.

As for todays performance, on a day when we were supposed to be celebrating the legacy of one of the greatest managers the world has seen, to put in a performance like we did in the 2nd half is simply disgusting.

Sir Bill must be spinning in his grave after a performance like todays.
