20:11 GOAL - Tottenham 1-0 Inter Milan - Gareth Bale
I need to just cut and paste a stock entry - Gareth Bale scores. For Spurs. Again!
That's 11 in nine games for club and country, it's a header this time as he rises miles above Esteban Cambiasso to head Gylfi Sigurdsson's cross into the corner. What a run of form.
20:19 YELLOW CARD - Bale
Ooooohhhh - Gareth Bale is booked for diving. My first reaction was that this is a penalty - but on second thoughts he was looking for it a bit. He does run into the shins of Walter Gargano but he was on his way down.
That means Gareth Bale is out of the second leg though. Big news.

20:23 GOAL - Tottenham 2-0 Inter Milan - Gylfi Sigurdsson (18 mins)
Spurs look untouchable at times, and they craft another fine goal. Aaron Lennon is played in down the right, he cuts the ball back, Jermain Defoe turns and sees his low shot parried away, and Gylfi Sigurdsson is the first to react to smash in his first goal at White Hart Lane.
21:13 GOAL - Tottenham 3-0 Inter Milan - Jan Vertonghen (53 mins)
He was close a few minutes ago, but Inter do not learn as Jan Vertonghen puts Spurs firmly in control. It's zonal marking at its very worst as Vertonghen just runs past Esteban Cambiasso and meets Gareth Bale's corner before Cristian Chivu to head into the net. Rubbish defending.
21:26 SUBSTITUTION - Tottenham 3-0 Inter Milan
Mousa Dembele, who has been a force tonight, is rested for the final 25 minutes as Jake Livermore gets a run out.
21:31 SUBSTITUTION - Tottenham 3-0 Inter Milan
Change for Spurs as Lewis Holtby replaces Gylfi Sigurdsson. Huge ovation for goalscorer Sigurdsson, who is finally showing his form for Spurs now.
21:35 GREAT SAVE! - Tottenham 3-0 Inter Milan
Big moment in the tie. Inter sub Rodrigo Palacio gets in behind the Spurs defence, one on one, but Brad Friedel spreads himself and makes a fine save with his feet! That could be pivotal.
21:45 SUBSTITUTION - Tottenham 3-0 Inter Milan
Slightly concerning news for Spurs as Aaron Lennon has to leave with an injury. Kyle Naughton is on in his place. But if Spurs have to go to San Siro without Lennon and Gareth Bale they may have a tougher evening then we thought.

Tottenham Hotspur will be hoping to carry their domestic form into the first leg of a Europa League last-16 clash with Inter Milan.
Spurs have been flying in the Premier League of late, with victory over north London rivals Arsenal on Sunday seeing them secure a fourth straight win - to cement their standing in third place.
Their performances in continental competition have been a little patchy, though, with a last-minute effort from Mousa Dembele required to see them past Lyon at the round of 32.
They have, however, won their last three European fixtures on home soil, suggesting they will be looking to establish a commanding lead over Inter on Thursday.
The Italian giants will arrive in London on the back of an inconsistent run in Serie A, with a top-four finish far from guaranteed.
Inter can take heart from their away showings in the Europa League, though, and will fancy their chances of claiming a positive result in midweek.
The last time the two clubs met, back in the 2010/11 UEFA Champions League, Spurs ran out 3-1 winners at White Hart Lane, with Gareth Bale - who had previously netted a hat-trick in a 4-3 defeat in Italy - causing Inter all kinds of problems.

Tottenham:
Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor is a major doubt after suffering a knee injury during Sunday's derby win over Arsenal.
Mousa Dembele, like Adebayor, came off during that match but he trained on Wednesday and has been passed fit.
Younes Kaboul, Sandro and Tom Huddlestone (all knee) are unavailable while Clint Dempsey (calf) is out and Hugo Lloris is expected to make way for Brad Friedel in goal

Inter:
Inter may decide to draft Antonio Cassano back into their starting XI after dropping him for a weekend win over Catania, with the striker having apologised for rowing with boss Andrea Stramaccioni.
The Italy international is likely to be paired alongside Rodrigo Palacio, with the Argentine striker having netted two late goals to see Inter to a narrow 3-2 win on Sunday.
Diego Milito is out for the season with a knee problem, while centre-halves Walter Samuel (Achilles) and Andrea Ranocchia (knee) are also sidelined and will play no part in midweek.

Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe believes the current Spurs squad is the best he has been involved with.
The 30-year-old who is set to start Thursday's Europa League last-16 first leg tie with Inter Milan, has spent seven years in two spells at the club.
Defoe, who has played alongside Dimitar Berbatov, Rafael van der Vaart and Luka Modric during that time, praised manager Andre Villas-Boas's side.
"I think it probably is the best since I have been here," he said.
"We have that winning mentality in training - it is just a good time to be here."
Defoe has scored 14 goals from 33 appearances this season and is well on course to beat his 2011-12 total of 17. However, he has not found the back of the net in the last seven matches he has played.
The England international says the quality of the players around him has made it easier for him to score the goals that have helped Tottenham embark on a run that has seen them lose just once since 9 December in all competitions.
He added: "As a player I have always said when you are playing with good players it makes it easier.
"Especially as a forward, you know you are going to get chances in a game to score."
Gareth Bale has been Defoe's team-mate throughout the former Portsmouth striker's second spell at Tottenham, but is undoubtedly enjoying his best season to date, having scored 16 goals - his highest return as a professional.
He could be key to Tottenham's chances of victory against Inter - the team he scored a hat-trick against in a Champions League match between the two in 2010.
Defoe added: "He has realised that he is a good finisher - in fact he is a great finisher with a great left foot. When things aren't going well in a game he can just take the ball, beat two players and score.
"He is a great player and what he has done over the past couple of months has been unbelievable."
Tottenham look set to be without Emmanuel Adebayor, with the striker having suffered a knee injury during Sunday's north London derby win over Arsenal.
Mousa Dembele also took a knock in that much but trained on Wednesday and is fit to face Inter.
Younes Kaboul, Sandro and Tom Huddlestone (all knee) and Clint Dempsey (calf) are unavailable.
The Serie A side have a number of injury problems to contend with as top-scorer Diego Milito (knee) is out for the season, while centre-backs Andrea Ranocchia (knee) and Walter Samuel (Achilles) are sidelined.

Due to F****** work this will be my first in 2013 and really looking forward to it except a little worried about being in block 45 as that would normally put me in with the Inter lot.:wtf: Someone please confirm that I am in the Spurs section.

Haha. Well fortunately I'm in Turin, not Milan. So I'm hoping I'll be safe. If not, I'm a fast runner...

Does anyone know if WHL will be full for this game? Usually it's not for Europa league games but since it's Inter...

My only interest is Sunday which tbh is a total reversal of opinion for me from previous seasons - CL and football and finishing above the Woolwich is just so important this year more so than a trophy that will take a monumental effort to win.

Inter not in good shape #Spurs game. They've called up 6 youth players bcos of injuries to Silvestre,Nagatomo,Milito, Ranocchia,Samuel+Guarin
[/quote]

Surely that can't be right..... that's total decimation for them.

Still, the onus is on us to make that advantage count

They look in horrendous shape going into this. We should be going for their throat - get the tie won tomorrow night, well won.

That way we can make some changes for the away leg before the Fulham game.
