Thought Davies was very good.

Actually looks like he wants to defend, which is encouraging for one of our full backs...
To be fair, first half his man was eto who wasn't on the right wing and spent most of the game inside in the middle

Second half he had to mark McGeady who offered but Davies did defend him out of the game

As for the going forward, I thought he was poor first half as eto wasn't on the right wing and there was no one near him but he had a shit load of space in front of him he didn't attack

People here are being way to harsh on Lamela IMO. When he came on the rest of the team were pretty much exhausted and Everton was gaining control of the game, not exactly the scenario in which a player like Lamela thrives in what so ever, he would have been much better in the first half when we were in possesion of the ball more often. A player like him can't really do wonders when running against 2-3 defenders all alone, he doesn't have the explosivness of Gareth Bale exactly.

Saying that, the decision to take Lennon off for Lamela during the circumstances was a strange one, Chadli or dembele would have made much more sense IMO, it seems that Poch is trying to force Lamela on games even though they may not be suited for him. I can see the logic i that as Lamela needs time playing as he is still adapting somewhat, but in games like these it is far too risky.

I've seen them given. Thing is it always had to be hand to ball for it to be a handball, that doesn't matter any more, the player can be lying on the floor unconscious, brushes his arm and given handball. Should his hand be up there in the first place? Probably not, but in no way was it intentional.

Look at every single time a defender jumps for a ball, the arms are up. It's what I would naturally do.

Also wanna give big shout to the crowd today.
You could see from the way we were playing in first 10min we were trying and despite going a goal down we stuck with them and the team never let their heads drop.
Play good football and the crowd will get behind you.
So happy for Soldado as well. Ran his nuts off. Bet he's grinning from ear to ear, I am.

YYYEEEEAAAAAARRRRRRSSSSSEEEEEEEE

I'd much rather he was solid in his defensive duties than the kamikaze approach we've seen from most of them in the last couple of seasons

Come on guys, let's give Soldado the love he deserves for that.
His running was superb, he made a lot of space and played some good stuff and most importantly took his chance with aplomb. Almost a perfect striker's performance.
Was largely responsible for setting up the first as well.

Bang on Gary. We deserved to win.

Martinez is off his rocker with that assessment.
