Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino, speaking to Sky Sports: "Today I showed my emotion, I was happy because I know our players suffer a lot and our supporters too. It was a good chance to give this present of three points to our fans. It is important to enjoy this feeling with the team.

"We need to keep this mentality and try to show the same in the next game. Always you need the time to set your philosophy but today we are very pleased with the three points."

"It shows we have character and that we are brave. Because it was difficult in the beginning, the first shot they score, but we played very aggressive during our game and started to show our style. We need to be aggressive with and without the ball and if we play with this intensity we can win with our style and develop. Today is a good example of what we want in our future."

I don't really understand how it could be a handball, athletes use their arms to get lift when they jump, that's why they weren't by his side and so it isn't an unnatural position. And there's no way Fazio could've moved his arms given it all happened in 2 milliseconds.

Given that Carragher and Martinez think that Fazio's left arm was in an unnatural position, I worry about what kind of anatomy medical students are taught in Liverpool. These two clearly don't know their arse from their elbow.

I don't wish to be a killjoy, but with my objective hat on we produced a good away performance at home.
Agreed, but there is certainly room for pragmatism in a situation like this. I was hoping we would try to kill the game off, but Everton is a direct rival, and the three points were ever so vital, so it's more than reasonable to be cautious.

Everton captain Phil Jagielka: "There were a few tackles flying in that weren't punished, but fair play to Tottenham because they deserved the win.

Also when you 6ft 5+. His hands were in a natural position for jumping. no handball , ball to hand and not a penalty

I know sit down to watch the Sky interviewer struggle with our Mauricio, which is always enjoyable.
