No offence meant to any ITK, but I doubt we here on SC hears things before Conte. And we’ve been told several times that we won’t bring in someone he doesn’t want.
And we haven't tried to bring Madison in.

As a club we hold/held an interest. We have a DOF and scouting department whose job it is, is to identify players and find out their availability. As far as I'm aware that's as far as it went.

I always forget exactly how it works, but will PMS be considered homegrown once he reaches 21? He’ll have been at the club for 3 seasons (with the year he turns 21 included), but I don’t know if his time away on loan counts against him.
I know some writers have said that Saliba will count as homegrown despite 3 seasons on loan, so I’m wondering if Matar Sarr will also end up homegrown

I always thought that you had to stay in the league, so loaning Sarr back out doesnt count as a year with us.

I am hoping for some news regarding an incoming CB soon.

Really feel we will leave ourselves short just going with what we have.

Isn't that 18 non Locally Trained players in that list? I'm really quite surprised we're not being linked with another AT player (i.e. home grown PL player) for either CB or AM right now.
16 for PL in that list and currently 18 for CL which means one over if I've counted correctly as Davies and Doherty don't count as HG there.

Great work @chrissivad

If we can, between us I think it's worth keeping the OP updated with changes.

I've tried to indicate players who've left and are likely to leave

Also be good to add in the capacity of players allowed/rules for PL/CL, too. Perhaps this could be pinned to the top of page 1?

Goes to show how important it is to shift Reguilon, and perhaps 1 or more of Moura, Sanchez and/or Royal if we’re looking to sign more overseas players this window.

I don't know where else to post this but haven't we been linked with Marco Asensio a fair amount, and also in previous transfer windows? According to Ancelotti he's apparently now told the club he wants to leave before the end of the transfer window and Madrid are reportedly looking for £25m. Where does he rate among other players we've previously been linked with in that role (Zaniolo, Zaha, Maddison, etc.)? I think I'd be quite happy with Kane-Son-Richarlison-Kulusevski-Asensio provided Conte believes he can get the best out of him.

With news that we have made the Romero deal permanent that takes us over £150M spending this summer:

INFee
Perisic £‎ 0Free
Forster£‎ 0Free
Bissouma £‎ 26,000,000
Richarlison£‎ 50,000,000
Lenglet£‎ 4,000,000Loan Fee
Spence£‎ 12,500,000
Romero£‎ 41,000,000
Udogie£‎ 17,000,000
TOTAL£‎ 150,500,000

Yes I know these fees are payable over the length of the players' contracts

If you're counting Romero in this window, you need to free up the funds we had for the window we signed him. I'd argue that counting Romero towards any spending now is a bit misleading, especially with amortisation, etc.

No need to over complicate it - I simply listed the fees we have paid for players that we have signed this window? I even included the base fee and not the add-ons (e.g. Richarlison is £50M instead of £60M, Spence £12.5M instead of £20M etc.).

I think my point is that it doesn't really work like that. The implication of your post is that we've now spent the £150m budget we had. We haven't.

But we haven't paid for them, that's the tabloid description purely to sensationalise the amount of money involved.

As you infer, there are structured payments. It's not always over the length of the contract. What we've paid is the agreed first installment for each, but we don't know what they are.

We should say that during this period we have committed to buy players and are guaranteed to pay a minimum amount over the next 3/4 years.

Am sure the lack of sales in affecting our current budget. I assumed Winks, Reguilon, Lo Celso and Rodon were all fairly sellable. Very surprised they we have only managed loans. Ndombele, not so much.
