This is what SA 2010 was supposed to sound like, instead of that drone.

I wouldn't be opposed to them if people could play them like this, but as all people seem to do is get the one note out of them...

It's a bit like a cheap bugle really! You half expected him to play 'the last post' ;-)

I enjoyed them at the world cup but I think they should stop there. They will always be unique to that now.

I wouldn't mind it, I hear worse noise coming from some- let's call them attendees rather than supporters- most weeks.

May all the vuvuzelas burn in hell and welcome back to fans cheering and singing to support their team.

Scum have followed suit. Although it couldn't have hurt them to create a bit of atmosphere down their way.

All that would have happened if they hadn't been banned is a few people would have brought them to the first few games of the season and they would have died out very quickly, probably by being wrapped around the blowers head. They don't need all the publicity that this unnecessary pre emptive ban is giving them.

They were good at the World Cup as a change for a few games, but I couldn't be putting up with it every week over here, however I think banning them before they have even created a problem is a little bit of an over reaction.

Bring on the Kuduzelas.

i don't think banning them is an over-reaction at all - it was very necessary -

because some would have brought them, others will have objected

'debates' will have broken out with people being ejected, banned etc and positions on both sides intensified. What's the good of that?

prevention is definitely better than cure here.

I can't help but think the club has made a mistake by putting this on the website.

We may live to regret the impact this has on our levels of support from dyslexic Venezuelans.

Having attended 22 games in South Africa I can say that I hate Vuvuzelas.
Every Football Club will have to ban them on Health and Safety grounds.
They emit noise at up to 127 Decibels.
The safe limit is 85 decibels.
140 decibels is liable to cause permanent damage to your hearing.
After some games in South Africa my ears were ringing for 2 hours afterwards.
If clubs allowed them they would be liable for prosecution by any fan having their hearing damaged.

Pussies...you'd never survive at a Manowar concert!

Humans are definitely getting softer, or at least more whingy, as time goes by.
