Assuming the Eriksen signing gets done, Carroll needs to be loaned out for the season.

I can't even see him being involved in Europa league matches with the amount of depth we have acquired during the transfer.

With Rose and Townsend returning better players from loan, and Luongo looking very good for Swindon, Carroll on loan needs to happen this season. He didn't play much last season and two seasons of little football is not good.

His development is going to stall if he doesn't play, I don't want him to turn into another Bostock.

Plus with Rose and Townsend returning, our home grown quota should be OK for the 25 player squad purposes. We also have Fryers who will probably be the last player on the 25 player list to cover Rose at left back (would probably be a 2nd cover option as Vertonghen would shift from CB to LB if Rose is unavailable) and as a 5th centre back option should injuries hit the defence.

Think this has a lot to do with whether sigs goes as well. Really like this kid, and hope if he does go on loan that he gets real game time.

He's such a good little player, I haven't wanted him to go on loan as I want him to play for us this season, but the way things are going he's just not going to get enough game time so I agree he should go on loan, but only to a Premier League side.

I'm amazed to be honest that no-one appears to have come in for him, he'd be great for a Palace/West Brom/Swansea type team.

There has been quite a few clubs rumoured to be interested, but they've been championship clubs and not premier league. I've been following young Tommy for quite some time and in my opinion he has a massive future.

Watford is the only Championship club i'd consider. Even then i'd want to review that in January and try and get him a PL loan.

I 'd like him to get game time with us, starting with second leg europa cup. I don't see much point in a loan as he has already shown what he can do. Play him or sell him.

At minimum, he should start tonight against Tblisi. If Spurs loan him out, then it really should be a prem side. Cardiff? Swansea? But to secure more playing time maybe a champ side is more likely? QPR? Watford? Forest?

Just throwing some loan options out there for discussions' sake.

Carroll looks a promising player and may need to go the "danny rose" route to get in the squad. AVB appears to prefer more sizeable midfilders - shame Carroll isn't bit bigger...

I first thought he would get more game time but it looks like with our current squad and close future signings even cup games might be difficult to get a game in.

For a player who can pass the ball around (not saying he is the best around, the finished article or he can produce defence splitting passes just yet) it does seem odd no one has come in for him. Hopefully the U21 appearances will increase his profile a bit.

I could see him doing well at the clubs you mentioned (although Swansea might be a bit tough to get a regular game as they already can pass the ball around rather well) or at somewhere like Cardiff.

Palace really need signings I can see him going somewhere like there on loan on deadline day.

Expect a loan out very soon and really hope he goes to a premiership team like Swansea, Everton or Southampton

For me, he's a technically decent player and good passing CM. He now needs football - It would be ideal if we can get him a PL loan with a footballing side, however IMO playing games is what will count here, if the football is great or not is a secondary concern.

I'm sure there must be a few clubs interested, I think we'll pick the best of what's on offer and let him build up his experience.

The problem for a loan is, teams suggested like Everton and Southampton have their own young players like Barkley or have spent heavily. Then your looking at the teams at the bottom, and, rightly or wrongly, managers will be unlikely to field an inexperienced waif of a kid when they are in a relegation scrap

I'd say Forest too, title contenders (apparently) who like to keep the ball on the deck.

Yeah the reason I say Watford is because he's from there and his parents still live there I think. Less of a settling in period needed so he can get right on with his football. The chance to play under and learn from Zola would also be a bonus.

Palace interested apparently (Henry Winter in the Mail I believe).

Why not loan him to Celtic and then he might get some Champions League experience?

Celtic are going to play 6 Champions League games as opposed to 38 games in the SPL which isn't as a good a league as the Championship.
