Ledley, Woodgate and JJ in the squad. Can't believe that:
a) Lennon is only in the U-21s

b) That Curtis Davies is in the senior squad. He's been shite most of the season.

They want the U21 to get to what ever championship they are trying to get into

They may have said that but it must be bollocks as otherwise Micah Richards and Agbonlahor would have been in the U-21s as well.

I'm gutted for Beckham but can understand why,

Lennon should be in there really. Curtis Davies - Unbelievable.

Davies has made 8 league appearances all season, three of which were as sub. Villa haven't kept a clean sheet when he's started.

I'm not, he clearly believes his own hype and stopped trying long ago. People forgive his shite performances because he produced a good moment once every 4 games and he blended in well with the other lackluster players.

Thats a mental post Camaj. It was only this time last year Beckham got back into the Madrid team, they won the tittle and he eded up getting 15 asssits in 11 games!! He demostrated a work ethic and determincation in complate contrast to what you've just said. He also played and got 3 assits in 2 England games. Why would somebody who normally writes sense suddenly come out with that garbage??

Why on earth is he doing double training sessions with Ar5ena1 senior and youth during his time off if he didn't care?

Clearly he hasn't stopped trying. He never gives anything less that 100% in any game he plays in. It's pretty obvious he thought his England career was over when he agreed to move to USA and he must regret that now, but that doesn't mean he's not a great player anymore etc.

If this was any other country, they'd give a star player his 100th cap and make a celebration out of it. Capello's making a point, and maybe rightly so, but he should gain his 100th cap, he's an English institution and this is a friendly. It wouldn't be hard, even if he played for 20 minutes.

Just my thoughts of course, like i say, i don't blame Capello really and i still think he'll get his 100th cap as he tends to come back from knockbacks all the time. Sometimes, despite the importance of football and the England team, it's about doing the right thing. This man should join the 100 club.

Ridiculous decision by Capello not to give Beckham his 100th cap in a meaningless friendly. David Beckham is a legend and deserves to be in the 100 cap club.

And he would never have had to pick him again so the whole beckham circus could have been closed down and forgotten for good.

Presumably he doesn't want his first game to be all about Beckham. A bit of Capello arrogance, perhaps?

I think it would have been a nice touch to give him his 100th cap even if it was only for the last 10 minutes.

But the most ridiculous decision was taken by Beckham himself to go and play for LA Galaxy. After that decision he has very little room to complain about anything football.

I think Lennon's relegation to the U-21s implies that SWP and possibly Bentley are ahead of him in Capello's thinking.

Capello said that he was trying to help Pearce to win the U-21, and that players like Lennon would be considered for the senior squad in future.

And I refer you to my comment at 4.03 yesterday.
