Tottenham Hotspur youngster Alfie Devine has been called up by Gareth Southgate to train with the senior England squad. In a video shared by journalist Henry Winter on social media, the 19-year-old can be seen alongside some of the Premier League’s biggest stars.

He hasn't been called up to the squad, just brought over from one of the other pitches for a training session to make up the numbers. It's still a big deal in that it gives him a chance to make an impression training alongside elite players, but for context another Spurs youngster, Dylan Duncan, got a similar opportunity a few years ago - he's now playing at Clyde.

Reminds me of my football playing days.

I was watching the senior team and got called over to join in. Thought I'd finally made my breakthrough, but it turned out they were a cone short so I had to stand in as a goal post.

Sadly, I didn't impress.

Yeah I know he wasn’t called up by senior squad but I didn’t realise he was even on international duty with one of the younger England teams this time

Hope he can be part of the squad next season. We need a backup to Maddison. Is that the position that would suit him most?
