Is really refreshing to see a young coaching set up at the dugout. Credit to Mason for having the balls to take the job. 👏👏👏

Having say that, I think Nagelsmann will really be ideal for us now, over Slot which I was preferring to previously. Nagelsmann is similarly young and forward thinking, except that he has had way more experience than Mason in tactical and coaching which we really badly need.

Would really love Mason to go on and take on full time in some championship clubs and sharpen his trade and be back with us again some years later. That will really be beautiful if all comes to fruition and we win something together.

Great second half but we have seen that second half performance before - against liverpool really springs to mind. Where we have our defenders pretty much on the half way line and we condense the play. I sound like a broken record - but that suits us and is the way to play. I expected us to play like that from the start but wasnt the case.

I was slightly disappointed in that after we got it back to 2 2 we just sat back and because of the subs, we simply had no pace so couldnt get out of our half. But to be honest i think the game could have ended 5 5 so im alright with this. CL is out of the question.

I like Mason and feel he will be our coach one day and I really hope a game like today has helped his case to start his managerial career and one day for us.

Hope we batter Liverpool - this is my game, need to beat the ****s.

One swallow does not make a summer. We were crap in the first half Man U sat off in the second half and allowed us in to them which played right into our hands. It was nice to see the come back but that defence is vile and I live in fear for Sunday.

I posted such when Conte was ousted, and I'm saying it again: I'd be okay with going forward with Ryan Mason as the manager, if everyone indeed speaks highly of him. Especially if Kane is on board.

A lot of me says "fuck it" and that this would be something I'd want to see a great deal, just to see where it goes, because you never know. 5 wins in 7 in PL for him as a caretaker taking over total shitshows with the team in disarray. It's only a game, the bloke bleeds the club, and is someone you can only get behind given his history with us, how his playing days ended, and how he's rebuilt his life and career.

But the rest of me knows that there is no way a club of this size can afford to take such a punt. Wish it were different. I'd love it if he was our own Nagelsmann.

He's obviously hugely determined ti be the best coach he can be.

Hopefully as I expect, he'll go and cut his teeth with a decent championship job next season ready to come back to us after our next failed manager....

When you appoint an interim manager you want to see an uplift in terms of positivity and workrate - I'd say he delivered tonight.

Really pleased that the players have responded well to Mason and no matter what happens, I hope he goes on to great success and one day ends up managing us to a trophy.
I do think it's a bit early for him now, he needs to cut his teeth in the lower leagues but one day, I'd love to see him leading us to glory.

Just love the idea of a young hungry back room staff with Nagalsmann and Ryan working together. Think it could really work.

Nagalsman with Ryan as his second. I just really like Mason. He’s Tottenham through and through.

He can't just keep being assistant to managers. I think like others have said, it would be better if he went out and started managing some teams. He's Tottenham through and through like you say, and will always be willing to come back to the club as Manager in the years to come.

He’s only 31 so can still be a second to someone like Nagalsman and then maybe eventually take over?

Not sure about your love for Ryan when you are calling him "basically a club glove puppet". All I have heard & read about Mason is someone who has a strong work ethic, loves this club with a passion & is respected by the players & previous managers Conte & Mourinho.

I have no idea if he will ever be a top coach or is ready to lead Spurs now, but I think he deserves a little more respect for stepping up, taking on the responsibility & speaking positively about the club. Especially at a time when the press & public are ready to ridicule.

Think we'd all love to see a coach who understands the traditions & feels honoured to be in charge. Mason has the coaching badges, has the passion, has the belief in himself.....let's just support him & see how it goes. At this stage & after the last 2 appointments, there are no guarantees regarding success with any coach.

Think it's worth remembering that our 2 greatest managers were both appointments from within, the great Bill Nicholson & Keith Burkinshaw..........maybe history can repeat itself.
Nice post 👍

I’d prefer him to stay, learn from a like minded modern thinking coach and be ready to step up when the time comes

Well done for whatever he said at half time.
Disappointed at the end I thought we could have won.
I don't actually mind losing if it looks like we're trying to win.

I know we’re happy with a bit of positivity but it would be a massive mistake to appoint Mason full time no matter how we do for the rest of the season.
