What kind of price is he going for? Surprising we don't seem interested as I think he'd be in our price range and could increase in value if he performs well for us.
Apparentlt 12m raising to 13.8m in add-ons. We should be all over this.

It's not like that's a super high price for a decent striker. Wasn't there some ITK last summer or January that we were looking at this guy?

I don't think Benteke or Bony are the type of striker that AVB will be after. I think we'll be looking for a more technical, less power oriented striker.

That kind of strikers are hard to find.......... Except Villa, I don't think there's any technical strikers available that are ready to come to Spurs....... Suarez, RVP, Lewandowski are not gonna happen........

depends where you look. If you look in the papers they are, but AVB spent a lot of time watching games and traveling around before coming to Spurs.

He had the most success with the Power oriented with lesser technique striker - Falcao.
More than technique, I believe AVB wants a front man who can linkup with midfield and score as well - if that means a power player or technique player, doesnt matter.

Then Michu is our answer...
tbh, we already have a better false 9 in our team - Bale.... Can hold the ball, head the ball, link up, play between lines, pace, power, shoot & shoot accurately & score.

Having said that my ideal front 3 would be Villa-Soldado-Bale.
Soladado's last 5 season -
2008/09 - 13 goals
2009/10 - 20 goals
2010/11 - 25 goals
2011/12 - 27 goals
2012/13 - 30 goals
115 goals in 207 games
Reliable, consistent, technically good, strong on ball, linkup & score.

Can't see Villa joining to play on the left. With the addition of Paulinho in midfield adding another power player in the central 3, I can't see us playing without a creative player on the left. We'd just lack a creative spark with that front 3.
