We can't gamble on Ade being the player of two seasons ago. We all hope he will, but we need another option, and a bloody good one at that

With the greatest respect to the Welshman you can also talk in those terms about Bale?

Not anything that interesting but been looking at quite a few Madrid forums just now and barely anyone is even mentioning Bale let alone demanding him. I feel this is important to us as Perez normally signs marquee players to appease any discontent; the fans seem quite content at the moment and are more wanting a defensive mid... I honestly think we will be fine with him staying this season (Not that I was worried last few weeks tbh).

Don't take this the wrong way or anything but everyone seems to be getting hyped up over this Jese dude, but is he potentially very good, or would he walk into our first team straight away?

I've done the usually wiki and YouTube scouting but I still don't feel I know much about him.....

Is he actually a seriously good player, or do people only say this because he's only 20?
Just looking for a bit more detail and stuff........

I'm not so sure myself, a second team Madrid player doesn't strike me as so brilliant.

Don't neg rep me or anything, I know about him, just wanted some clarification on why everyone's raving about him????

Nope. Bale is riding the cusp of a wave and has the world at his feet. He's pretty much the one player you can guarantee will be giving his all next season.

That's not to say that I'm as critical of Ade as some others, but it's clear he's on a downward trajectory. Last season was a mess for him due to injuries, confidence, and attitude. One thing that people don't give him credit for is his habit of coming back from bad seasons.

Still...Bale is a completely different kettle of fish. If we keep him he'll be even better than before. He's just beginning to believe in his abilities.

With the attention Bale will receive against every opposition next season he HAS to add more to his game, something he has been doing season after season.

The two options as I see it are:

1) Work massively on his close ball control and flair... This way he should be able to work in the tighter spaces; something I believe is a current weak point of his game. The problem with this is flair/creativity are hard to 'teach' and come somewhat naturally.

2) This is something which he is already said he's going to and that's work a lot on the strength of his right foot... To make him much more unpredictable and defenders can't just show him one way.

If he doesn't do one of the two above I feel he will have an 'alright' season but he won't surpass the former as defenders will just be briefed to double up on him and show him onto his weaker foot. Lucky for us Bale is a model professional and is always striving to better himself.

To a certain extent I agree, but when he's on his game he's unplayable, however well prepared the opposition are.

You think they didn't try that this year? It's really not as simple as that, Bale is machine like with his strength and speed and just brushes most defenders out the way. Sometimes he'll be doubled up on and stopped, but it only takes on time where he's one on one with the defender and he's got him.

It's the middle of the night and a bit slow on ITK so we have to get excited about something, otherwise we just argue about Levy.

But he does look impressive and he's foreign.

Yeah, must be a 'school night' cause it's all gone a bit quiet -
Even after Gards gave ITK suggesting a stiker at the training we didn't really play 'quess who it was?' for very long
Probably it needed to be cryptic to get the ITK party started

Him not getting into RM first team says nothing imo. To name a few players that couldn't get into RM first team and had to leave.....Mata, Negredo, Soldado, Carvajal......

He has all the right qualities to be a world beater.

I've looked at a couple of RM forums today, and they are laughing about us bidding 11m for him. The talk about +30m. Obviously they are fan exaggerations, but I'm posting them to show you how highly they rate him

I don't see us getting him though. We'd have to give something regarding Bale, and they'll probably want to put a buy back clause, something Levy won't accept

Roses are red, Violets are Blue?

Anyone reckon this could be a Villa cryptic... I've been mulling it all day and it's Barcelona's colours I think.

Am I the first to crack it as I can't see in recent pages
I cracked yesterday and it ended up with two posters arguing over my reps!!!

JJ did hint it was Benteke and that we probably wouldn't get him.

I would add to this

3) off the ball movement, pulling defenders out of position etc could do with improvement.

4) Vision of team mates positions/Willingness to pass. Sometimes he can be a bit Defoe like in shooting the moment he gets a sight of goal (tunnel vision) when passing would be a better option.
