Sahin would be an incredible replacement for Modric. Not only is he one of the highly regarded young central midfielders in the world, he also would be great value since Real didn't pay a ton for him.

I like Moutinho a lot, but I'd much rather pay 10-15 million pounds for Sahin than 20-25 million pounds for Moutinho. Sahin is probably a better player to be honest. He was IMMENSE for Dortmund.

The thing is Modric was so important to the way we played that just assuming someone who has a good technique will fill the gap is not necessarily the case, that's why i lean towards Moutinho, and would gladly put up 60-65% of any Modric fee for him.
Also getting Moutinho now would mean we are getting him in his best years.
Sahin, at the age of 21, drove that Dortmund team to its first title in a decade. He is some player. Really not seeing why he isn't given more of a chance at RM. Seems a little crazy tbh.

I've heard that Tottenham are close to agreeing a deal with Madrid for Luka Modric in the region of €35 million.

One of the things that I heard recently was that Mourinho was unhappy with the work in training after he came back from injury. While that might cause a red flag for some, I think he would learn a lesson and buckle down. He's a smart kid.

Akqa probably thought it was a £ sign and not a € sign.

We will catergorically not be accepting less than £35m

£28m though (y) we'll bite your legs off, then we can offer £1m more to Lyon for Lloris (€20m wanted now €13m offered) or to Porto for Moutinho (€30m wanted now €17m offered) or to Inter for Leandro (€20m wanted now €13 offered)

they will all sign up now we are in the monies...

Ah right. That makes sense. Pretty much the red button of Maureen that. You'd hope he'd learn. Likely already has and is busting a gut in the pre-season. He obviously has the talent to have an impact at Real and unless Maureen basically tells him he's out a la VDV, I doubt he seriously explores other avenues.
