I don’t think we should go down the gambling company route

Football is neck deep in the gambling industry. My main worry with a long term stadium sponsorship and gambling would be that there’s a potential for governments to make that kind of advertising illegal etc like smoking.

Yeah if it's going to sound awful, but we're getting the highest naming rights deal of all time for a stadium, call it whatever you want haha

So, how do we pronounce Qatar?

I know the US uses the pronunciation of "cutter" but is that correct or just them being american?

i dont know if kramer on ftl has any previous itk record but anyway:
Apparently naming rights close with Qatar Airways which pissed off the chap who told me as he was involved in trying to broker the deal two years ago and levy pulled the plug then for some reason
Hopefully true as we need the extra 35m a season or whatever the figure is

pinch of salt needed her i think

I think people might be getting caught up in a number that even the itk is less than sure on.

More I think about more unlikely it feels to me. They saw the backlash with the super league. They’d have to be idiots to realise this wouldn’t be controversial. In regard to £35m it does seem bit high, but there’s simply no other stadium to measure it against. No other stadium in the world will have PL + NFL massive boxing bouts and lady gaga concerts it’s a totally unique product.
