If Winks’ reaction to Jose’s appointment on the Amazon documentary is anything to go by he will shitting himself at the thought of Conte being appointed and phoning in sick in the morning.

Harry Winks articles could actually become readable if this happens, they go from “I don’t know why Nuno has frozen me out, I stuck by them!” To “Antonio chased me with scissors whilst screaming after I misplaced a corner in training”.

I fear the squad is going to be in terrible shape, based on the distance covered so far this season. A rocket up the backside is precisely what half of them need. Bring it on.

Imo It's well structured and extremely efficient. It's very old school German/Bayern for me. I'm not saying it's boring(far from it) but it is more pragmatic than what many were calling for. I think against weaker teams it is more about control wearing down/frustrating the opposition into defeat, and personally I love watching a well structured side strangling a side that plays more progressive football. It's not the free flowing attacking style that many were calling for is all I'm saying.

Personally I'm all for it though and always have been.
Personally, I think we‘re at the point where results matter over style now. We’re at risk of being cut adrift of the pack when it comes to the CL.

There is plenty of talent in this squad, more than enough to get top 4 in my opinion, but without the right attitude from the players, the talent means nothing. If Conte is the guy to instill/inspire the right attitude and get the results we need, then that is fine by me regardless of how we play.

Right lads the first thing we are gonna do is introduce something I like to call working yer ass off. Some of you may have heard about it but have never actually tried it so we’ll just start there

The key is that Conte prepares automations and patterns of play for his teams which is what we were so desperately lacking under Nuno

If we get a manager before Sunday then that's 3 managers since our last visit to Everton. Its Watford type of numbers.

Winks ran the midfield against Barcelona and looked world class.

I've been a massive critic of him, Dele, etc the last year but everyone starts fresh under Conte.

One thing I'm confident of is that anyone in the team will be there on merit and what they do in training. Conte won't accept any pressure from Levy to pick players.

This seems a lot closer than it seemed to be the first time? Do we agree or is it wishful thinking?
