Juande Ramos: "We have got lots of big games coming up in the next few weeks and the idea is not to rotate the squad, but to give some players a bit of rest, and it was Berbatov's turn."

From the official site. So if that's anything to go by we will not be seeing two completely different teams in these two games.

Nice idea to rest our most important players but these 3 games are now are most important.

Ramos will play his strongest sides and look to rest them in the last 30 mins or so, if he's given the chance.

The reserve looking second leg team isn't going to happen. Even if we win 5-0 in Prague I still expect a decent team in second leg. Players will go 10 days between first leg and CC final which is too long

Another bonus is that we have three cup games to play all in a row, 2 legged UEFA Cup ties then the Carling Cup final, ok they will be intense matches but we have only these three games going on in this period with no PL distraction until after the CCup final.

We have always proclaimed to be a CUP side so there you go, COYS three wins!

First leg:

Cerny

Chimbonda - Woodgate - King - Gilberto/Lee

Lennon - Jenas - O'Hara - Malbranque

Keane - Berbatov

Then if we score a few,

Second leg:

Cerny

Gunter - Kaboul - Huddletone - Gilberto/Lee

KPB - Zokora - Tanio - Taarabt

Bent - Pekhart
Even though this lineup doesn't look so convincing, but it's a home game and there are some experience heads in every department. Furthermore, some of the lads have some points to prove and should hold on well.

so what would your line-up be then SS57?

I have this odd habit of trusting that our coach knows what he's about, be it Martin or Juande.

Strongest possible in Prague—Arsenal played a weakened side there and nearly came unstuck. Clean sheet, two or three goals, bish-bosh, job done, rest a few key players at home.

We don't know the exact position with King, but I suspect Juande will want him for the CC final. Dawson may also be out. Therefore it's a question of whether Hudd or Kaboul partners Woody.

Chimbo at RB. I'm not even going to attempt to second-guess who Juande will play at LB. Lennon, Jenas, Steed plus one of Hudd, Tainio or O'Hara (Bong's surely got to be off the menu). Keane and Berba. Oh, and Cerny.

If all goes to plan, rest three or four of that lot for the second leg. If it doesn't, same again.

I AGREE WITH YOU THERE. even the goons struggled in Prague. It's not an easy place to go and get a result which is why i think we should go for the strongest line-up out there and pull out a decent result.

I still strongly feel however that Leds should be given a run out before the cup final just to get his match fitness up. He'll have his hands full with Drog and Anelka in the cup final.

Of course, Spurs can only register a limited number of players for the tournament. So, I'm not sure who's on the list, but I doubt whether Pekhart, Gunter, O'Hara, etc were registered last summer. UEFA.com is dificult to tell -- makes it look like Lennon and O'Hara are not eligible stating they are on "Player list B" but Pekhart is not on list B...

Does anyone know where to find the current list of registered players for the tournament?

Do we not get the opportunity to register new players/make changes around this time, though?... So for example, players like Stalteri, Gardner and Defoe probably were all registered, I'm pretty sure we can replace them with Woodgate, Gilberto and Gunter?

Although having said that, if Rangers were able to register Hutton for their UEFA Cup campaign, that would suggest the changes had to be made before the transfer window closed, so Gilberto at least wouldn't be able to be registered...

Hutton wasn't registered for Rangers for the UEFA Cup.

He was registered for them in the CL, and because they've now dropped down into the UEFA Cup he's not allowed to register for Spurs.

It's a stupid rule, but there's nothing we can do about it.

They will still train. It's not like they'll go 10 days without moving off their sofa's...

Avram is playing mind games. I'm sure he will start. Alex will be suspended so I guess it will be Terry and Carvalho. Ben Haim could always step in if need be.
