Spence is one of them. It told it is unlikely. But we are trying (Forest), Got this from within a certain department within, so not news to everyone. We have eye on couple other championship players. One is RWB. We can all jump to assumptions it’s the Derby kid. I really don’t know. Told Dybala is a difficult and tricky one. We have been sounded out.
He made one of the most inform wingers in the PL in Martinelli look absolutely shook last weekend. Completely pocketed him and run past him with the ball numerous times. Looked quality

We need to go after the players our manager wants.
The problem is this isn't how we work is it. We get 'alternatives'. It has always been the same.

Conte won't stand for it though so it will be fascinating to see how this pans out.

I am all for some young talent coming through but we need to get it right. Sessegnon was unbelievable in the Championship and Spence looks quality but it is a big risk that he comes in and improves the first 11. We need some sure fire things.

I hope this time we get it right, 1 quality quality signing would be better than 4 average ones. Liverpool proved that addressing the GK and CB situations. If you cannot get the right one wait.

This is exactly how we got in the position we are in today.

When you say it's "always been the same" we waited a year to get both NDombele and LoCelso because poch didn't want alternatives. PEH was a first option as was Romero, they've happend in the last few transfer windows. Perhaps you could clarify what you mean by "always".

It is all starting to get a bit underwhelming with the player links.

If we are trying to close the gap as Conte was talking about surely we need to go for some top level players. Not more punts from lower/lesser divisions.

We never seem to learn.
Unless he's seen them and likes the look of them ?

I don’t think we are looking at these players to fill the first XI. We are looking at these players to replace areas of depth. Such as Doherty, dele and Tanguy

Exactly. Considering half this forum were whining that we didn't sign 'alternatives' in Maddison and Tielemans during the period we didn't make a signing for 2 transfer windows, it seems a weird statement to make.

Despite the appointment of Wilder Boro have agreed not to recall Spence, they’ve agreed with Forest that he can stay with them for the remainder of the season. This will likely put a spanner in the works for any move we planned to make for him. i.e can’t sign him until the summer.
I see them pkay last week and they had another youngster at rwb who was tearing it up.

We were linked with Djed Spence in the past (18 months/2 years ago) so that would make sense.
Brennan Johnson is going to be a star for someone - absolutely flying in his first proper season at Forest and only 20 (paid attention to him as he's Welsh). Would be very happy for us to be looking at him.

With regards to Markandy- I think most clubs (us included) always think a lot more of kids who have come through the academy/age groups as we always want them to be a success.
The coaching staff have obviously assessed him and decided not good enough for gametime which has then meant he'srun his contract down.
Not the first and certainly won't be the last we let go.
Wasn't too long ago that our fan base though Alex Pritchard was the second coming! Now he's playing for Sunderland in league 1.

Thanks @Hercules and @Trix - staying positive here :)

I’m excited to hear we’re looking at lower leagues again. Was disappointed we never closed out some interest in others that have gone elsewhere, but hopefully we’ll pick up a diamond.

This’ll make you feel old. Pritchard is 28 now.

Markanday - you win some you lose some. We should probably be more proactive with loans in the future. It’s sure fire way to assess players.
