I was thinking John Rahm the other day, just been on Paddy and he’s 66-1! Having seen the odds on a few of them I think I might have to do a couple of E/W’s!

Rahm's 10-1 on William Hill, so if PP are offering 66 it's well worth a flutter!

Rahm is at 9s on PP, 66s seems highly unlikely for the world no 2.

Totally wrong actually ignore me, that’s for him to win in 20 and retain in 21 which still isn’t bad actually!

Good odds but nobody has defended successfully at The Masters since Tiger in 2002. Speith was in shape to do it until the 12th hole on Sunday.

Not that good odds really. If he's 9/1 now then he'd need to be about 11/2 (6.7 technically speaking) or shorter next year for it to be better value than just keeping all your winnings from this year and lumping it all on to next. Highly unlikely he'd be that short even if he wins this one given the current strength of the other top 5 or so...

Okay, I've got a fiver on DeChambeau and a fiver on Reed, since my betting has much the same effect as sticking pins into voodoo dolls.

Apparently a few players have tried it in the past

I could do the first part, the bit where you hit it into the water

It’s quite common during the practice rounds as a bit of showboating but you’d never see somebody actually try it during a proper round. Awesome shot to get the ace though

It's tradition to attempt it in the par 3 tournament.
Thats not the par 3 tournament. It's the 16th and looks like the pin is close to where it usually is on Sundays at The Masters.

The par 3 tournament is usually played today. Not being played this year unfortunately.

That was also Rahms 2nd "hole in one" during practice.

The only bit I disagree on...I know it's tradition but I think it's a bloody circus.

Yeah I just enjoy it from the family point of view, like to see the kids get enjoyment and always enjoy listening to Nicklaus, Player micced up and chatting etc. Theres a reason many choose not to play in it though.

Im sure the purists and the golfers on here will lambast me but isnt that just a hell of a lot of luck? luck in the way the ball curves, bends, bounces etc etc etc I may be totally wrong as I dont know a lot about golf.

Anyways ill go for Rory Mcilroy although dont mind Brucey

it is a bit of a tradition to try this shit in the sixteenth in practice rounds and Rahm is not the only person to have holed in one doing this. By the way his playing partner got close as well.
