Played Sunday just gone, 34 points with two blanks but overall 10 over gross. 26 putts and 3 hole outs from just off the green (1 from a bunker).

Those chip ins were in large part thanks to my proximity to the hole when I was just off the green. Game coming together nicely now.

Hitting almost 60% of fairways and most of my misses are to the left(I've always been a drawer of the ball so fighting a bit of a pull still, only missing to the right 8% of the time.

Who we fancying for the Tour Championship?

Sounds like your short game is there and that 5 handicap goal isn’t too far away. 26 putts is outstanding and three hole outs from off the green!!! Bloody hell, I’m happy with one in a round

Rory looking good at last, I love my fellow islander I just wish he would have more faith in himself. He makes to many excuses for himself I feel.

Still there though. Just held a raker for par a few mins ago.

Struggling with his game though

Its like I said, he should be attacking these opens and saying "Im here to win" but constantly he tries to cover himself and make excuses before he even tees off. His problem isn't technical its mental.

EDIT: Those greens are beyond brutal.

That’s pretty much the case with most of the top players

They are all absolutely brilliant. What did Steve Waugh say about batting, 95% mentality and 5% ability. That may be a slight exaggeration but it’s not too far off!

Or let it be a shootout between him and Bryson! Would be like an arse Chelsea final near enough.

Don't worry guys; I've got money on Reed and Dechambeau to win. They have no chance.

Seems like I am one of the few that like Reed. Probably my favourite USA player. I like his battling attitude and also the craft he plays with. He is not like the usual clones of long hitting target golfers. Feisty sure but he is fun to watch.

I've got Dechambeau, Rahm and Matsuyama each way. Never win anything golf, hopeful this weekend.

Witnessed my first ever hole in one today playing in a 4 ball

This guy hadn’t scored a single point in his first 4 holes playing off 28. Stepped up on the 138 yard 5th, hit a nice shot into the green, just to the left of the pin, rolled down the slope and disappeared.

5 points!!!! thank you very much lol

Amazing! All the years I’ve been playing I’ve never had one nor have any of my playing partners. He’s been playing about a year!!

Was a great moment...

Have never had a hole in one, but did get an albatross 2 on a par 5 once, hitting in a 5 wood from about 220 on a Spanish resort course (hole was downhill all the way, I think all 4 of us reached or went through green in 2), which would have been for 6 points, except think we were playing matchplay at the time. Have hit the flagstick a couple of times from tee shots, but half way up and on both occasions ball was travelling and rebounded off the green, one into water,

This petition is trying to get govt to keep golf courses open, in some way or form, following yesterday’s announcements
