The Mercedes customers will be asking some serious questions tomorrow. This is actually quite poor. The Mercedes pair of Ham and Rus are losing quite some time with the harder compound tires.

Race has pretty settled, but the front runners might need to consider a 3 stop strategy as tire degradation is quite high at the moment. Mind you, Perez is running the medium compound in 4th and he is putting in some great lap times.

Just pretty disheartening that a big reason for this regulation shift was to disperse the breakaway teams (like Mercedes and Red Bull)… and despite qualifying looking so promising for teams like Haas and Alfa, that’s evidently not happened as Mercedes in 5th place are currently 16 seconds off of 4th and 36 seconds off of the race leader!
