IMO it was Hamilton’s fault and I expect him to get a penalty
Agree, I thought Hamilton had his nose Infront, but clearly doesn't.

If Lewis doesn’t clip Max his line is taking him off into the gravel if he doesn’t brake sharplyI thought Verstappen was weaving a bit down the straight.
Hamilton knew he could push Verstappen wide on the corner though

I think, because it was first lap, that’s exactly what it will end up being called as.Having watched Karun's breakdown I'm ok with a racing incident.

First start to an F1 race I've watched in years and this happens
From a non-avid F1 watcher point of view, I thought Lewis took the corner a bit wider than necessary.
Hamilton has exposed himself as a complete fraud, with all his high moral posturing and what have you. If he can't beat his competitor, he rams him of the track just like Schumacher used to do.
That was almost an attempt at murder. Verstappen suffered 51G on impact - it's a miracle his brain is still intact. A Black Flag would have been the only fitting penalty.
Imo he should of backed out slightly as soon as he knew he wasn’t going to make the corner as he was supposed too, but that said it’s a split second decision that is being made at 200mphI dont know anything about F1, I watched it today but what did Lewis do that he shouldnt have done? Im not seeing what he was supposed to do, is the 'rule' that as Verstappen is ahead of him that he should let him go first so to speak?

If you go full speed into a tight corner, you know that you are going to run wide later on and move in on the person outside of you. That is just no way to drive into that bend. His claim that he was ahead is in this case just spurious bullshit.I dont know anything about F1, I watched it today but what did Lewis do that he shouldnt have done?
