He doesn't seem to be able to get either creativity, stability or balance into the side. Which is a concern

Plays with five right-sided defenders from the start, giving up balance; two no.6s in midfield and only three attackers in the XI; persisting with Pickford when there’s two better GKs; undermines our best playmaker in the press (Grealish) and also leaves out one of the best young players in the world (Sancho), instead favouring Mount who’s got decent-ish potential but is rather ordinary at present.

No chance the FA will sack him but we’re going nowhere fast under Southgate at the moment.

True if you go three at the back then you gotta play more creative players in midfield.

Two defensive midfielders in that system is absolutely ridiculous.

I actually like three at back and wing backs for England, but not with such a negative midfield.

And wheres Luke Shaw?

He‘d be ideal as a wing back, much better than a right footer out there, or if he’s dropped then just stick Sako in.

we lack that world class CM that all the top international teams have. its how games are won and lost at this level. Spain, Germany, France, Portugal even Croatia all have them

This isn't because England don't have those types of players, he just chooses not to use those types of players.
