£60 million for Willian and Lamela seems to be the amount.

Don't see Levy forking that much of the Bale amount out.

Personally I'm still at:

We had a meeting, we told them our view and Real baulked.
Real have used Marca to unsettle Bale, turn his head and try to create issues to make us relax our stance.
Their tactic has worked to a certain extent and although we won't necessarily budge on price, we will probably end up doing a deal, but it'll go to the wire.

The speculated intense transfer activity coming in the next week has to be the club getting the players in place prior to bale leaving, it all adds up, just hope we bring in some top quality, I have faith in levy

In the past, I would have agreed with you. I just feel that AVB has the trust of the club and we might just do it. Who thought we would spend £20m on any one player far less £26m on a 28 year old?

Odd.

JJ said LLM's info is very good a week or so ago, and LLM was adamant Bale was staying.

If a deal was done weeks ago, you wouldn't expect JJ to say this.
fwiw JJ said his info was good in regards to everything but Bale. And he also added that was because only a select few knew what was REALLY going on with Bale, if i remember correctly, so we can't blame LLM for his position on Bale (or any of the ITK's for that matter). But anyways i dont think we should be discussing LLM right now. I dont want to get in trouble.

If Bale is really sold we can't blame the ITKs who said he was staying because that's what they were told. Not to mention that was all weeks ago ITKs were saying that and obviously transfers are very fluid so things could've changed. It would make sense that the ITKs who have links with agents and other clubs have been told Bale wasn't leaving full stop because thats what the club wanted everyone else to think (so we would have better bargaining with clubs on transfers this window).

Sadly the latest ITK seems to make sense. It has seems RM have eased off, which would fit to it being done. Hopefully if it's true, we can get the replacements in and move on. Frustrating as with the team we have at the moment, GB would be fantastic and we would have a great chance to win things this season.

Whatever the outcome then please get it done.

Just watched the BBC news about Egypt - that's serious shit. Probably get a spam rating from SM for that (as usual), but still, I'm used to it. an eye for an eye and all that.

I'm super looking forward to Sunday and am convinced by next weekend at home to Swansea we'll be even stronger. COYS

JJ should come in and just put the nail in the coffin once and for all. He deserves to finish us off.

In a way, I'm a bit excited to see how this team responds to losing the player that everyone associated with our club for the past 6 months and also the one that everyone said we couldn't afford to lose.

We're lucky to have a player like Soldado who is used to being the star of the show, really.

Catastrophic if true. We should have held on to Bale no matter what. We'll never see anything like him again at our club, think of the loss of stature and media exposure. Penny wise and Pound foolish, our boy Levy... :(
