The team we went into last season with, IMO, felt massively inadequate after being shorn of Modric and VDV, yet we did quite well. Just goes so show.

We have a better 'team' makeup now than we did last year.

I may be wrong but all the negativity on Bale seems to stem from an ambiguous post from valyid, the recent goat ITK and a confirmed WUM from SO. JJ still doesn't seem ready to commit 100% to the fact he is gone - although alluding to it. The time to accept he's probably on his way is when one of those in the camp that he's staying such as Grey Fox, Jasper, Mystery, WPD's Biatch etc do an about turn and join the "he's going" camp. That I think will be the time to truly realise he's off and new info has come to light. POTL is still very quiet too. Still too much conflict for my liking.

I think everybody 's hearing largely the same info, just some from sources who believe RM will agree our terms and some who don't.

Of course, you're right, its possible, however my opinon is that if Bale leaves we lose our shot at the title, he's that important that he'd make that kind of difference, just my opinion though, bit harsh to refer to it as silly on many levels. Millions of theories around but I don't buy that latest itk. Well not really.
Think about it- what is really gained by keeping the deal quiet? Do Roma agree to sell Lamela cheaper than they would if the Bale deal was announced? Nah. If some itk in Enfield knows about it then you can bet that directors of football across Europe know about it being done too.

i don't buy that theory for a second.

Going to have another go at explaining what I meant---
The 'deal was done weeks ago' theory is total balls.
Think about it.
If, as is being suggested, the idea is that the deal is kept quiet so as not to price us out of our replacement targets you are talking about a cover up mission of military proportions.
Again, think about it.
How many people have to be sworn to secrecy?
Do NONE of the players know? Do all of the players know? Do NO agents know? Do agents that do know not tell their clients clubs that they can now get more money?? Does Gareth Bale not tell anyone that he has just become the worlds most expensive player?!?!!?

The 'oh well' stuff is hardly surprising given that nobody actually knows what is going on and it's the 'oh wellers' who are waiting to see how it pans out before getting all upset with whoever their own preferred target is going to be. If he leaves there will no doubt be a lot of complaining but what if he stays? You'll have spent three months feeling disgust and resentment and telling everyone how their stance is embarrassing only for it to turn out that the shoe is actually on the other foot.

If you go around taking all ITK as gospel and basing such strong opinions on it you're going to give yourself an ulcer.

My point being we're not a one man club. Yes we sell good player but better players will come along or the team collectively picks up the slack and we move on.

I understand you may be frustrated with the way things have gone on before but think about a club like L'pool, most don't even see a way back for them................we've got something to look forward to regardless if Bale is sold or not

I'd be surprised if many people beyond Levy, Perez, Perez's money man and Bale's agent know the first thing about how this is panning out, if indeed he's off. I doubt even Bale is fully ITK on it.

Also Barnett has shown that he doesn't give two fucks about Levy and the club and as such I hardly think he'd keep it quiet if any deal was agreed. The only two sides of this story that have been quiet is the club and Bale, Madrid and Barnett have been running their mouths all Summer.

If Bale is gone( which to me has been pretty obvious from day 1) i just hope DL has got a percentage of all the media and advertising Bale is going to generate, because thats going to be big money! also a sell on fee, or a first refusal if he was to return to the EPL.

Media and Advertising and merchandise alone could generate in excess of £100m maybe more, which could be why we are willing to except £85m, but the total could exceed £100m in the long run.

Could be a great bit of buisness in the long run, as long as we get the right players in.

If people from the club really do read this site as is claimed, I want my voice to creep through.

Selling Gareth Bale this season with 3 years on his contract would be a disgrace. However people suck it up, however much money RM pay now or every Shrove fucking Tuesday, it will be a disgrace. We pay to watch good football and with the hope that the goals of the club is to challenge.

I can't say enough on it.

Anyone who accepts that we will always be second rate under this board if we carry on selling the best, really has to question why they are a football fan. Is it so they can say " wow look at that Deloitte table?"
