Morning fight fans....

Went to bed in disgrace with the wife last night. She gave me a hug and loads of lovely words for feeding and bathing the baby last night (wasn't my night) only to find me reading the forum on my phone over her shoulder. It wasn't pretty. Somehow I'm having difficulty communicating just how epic this transfer window is. Women.

Anyway, diary is clear for the day, no meetings and I only checked ITK once through the night

SO down to business, what the fuck is this supposed money hold up with Willian - although I loved the "POTL is never wrong" rebuke

Ready yourselves for another mental day....

COYS

I hear you brother. Our eldest has decided no more nappy at night. She wakes us up when she needs to go, which is my invite to trawl the forums. Bit rude of her to interrupt when she wants to go back to bed but spose that's the price you pay.

Just heard from a friend that works at Ladbrokes that they were told last night by the FA that Bale has been sold. Now take this with a pinch of salt as I dont see why the FA would be telling Ladbrokes that kind of information but who knows. Just passing on information. Dont class it as ITK or anything, because it is from a bookies after all.

Sorry I don't buy that for a second.

I wouldn't worry about it. I was giving Mrs A&C her dues the other night and mistook her shouting 'yes, yes, yes' as signs of how well I was performing. Until I realised she was playing candy crush over my shoulder and had beaten her high score :(

over your shoulder? so was it her giving you your dues?

I can see no reason for the FA to tell a bookie or anyone else for that matter whether a player has been Soldadered or not...strange

If Bale leaves I will hold no grudges. He has been ultra-professional from the day he signed for Spurs. I can´t remember a single episode where he has put the club in a bad light. I can´t remember seeing any drunken pictures of him in the tabloids. In my eyes he has done an excellent job and is maybe the best role-model for kids in world football today.

He has never uttered a negative word towards our club and I am sure he feels highly for us. I think the single reason why he wants to move on is his ambition. Regarding Bale I actually do not believe it´s only about the money. I think the kid is truly ambitious and have higher ambitions than we can offer him at this time. I don´t think Bale is content by finishing 4th and playing CL qualifiers.

So dear Gareth; if you decide to leave I wish to thank you for the ride. I for one have truly enjoyed it. And I hope that if you ever return to WHL it will be for us and not any other english club.

Sorry for making this sound like a suicide letter.

Unless it was an announcement, in order to say he's gone, close your books....

It's the perfect excuse isn't it! SO been there recently.

You know I'd probably be less embarrassed to tell the wife it's porn that I'm looking at at 3am in bed rather than saying "well I'm just repeatedly hitting refresh on my phone to see if there's any late night developments on the young Argentinian lad the Italian press suggest we might be signing"

JJ has just been too indicative of it having been agreed for a while. Whilst no bid is in as it were, im inclined to believe a price has been agreed with a date as to when it can happen

I just don't buy into the fact it has been agreed for a while at all. With greatest respect to JJ, the egos of Real Madrid just aren't capable of keeping quiet at all. I'm sure JJ is correct that they know our price, however if they had matched it, Zidane, Perez, Raul and the rest would all be chirping up about it. This is illustrated by Ramos telling a random guy that he thinks it is done at a photo shoot, which just shows why you couldn't trust these big-headed ****s to keep it under wraps.

Do I think a deal could be getting closer? Yep. Too much smoke for there not to be a small fire, but completed? I can't see it myself.

Even Roma can't plug leaks (Lamela's brother talking about him moving soon) and with the exception of Totti they aren't anywhere near as ego driven as Madrid.

I will miss Bale but i will applaud him when he comes out on the pitch at WHL when we play Real in the CL semi final next season

Good servant for us, if things don't work out for him at Madrid i hope Levy has inserted a first dibs clause as would hate to see Bale in a Chelsea or Utd shirt

Fantastic post, couldn't agree more, for a player in his early 20s with such hype GB has been a true role model and real top class professional

Could be a good one season if we get Lamela, Willian, Coentrao and Chiriches. We would have an awesome squad with loads of depth and that could mean we can rotate players more and not suffer from players getting tired later on in the season.

Only downsides would be that would all these players get enough game time to be happy and with so many ins and outs during this window would the squad gel well and still have the fun atmosphere they seemed to have before.
