I get where you're coming from tho dude, and whilst I'm not as in love with him as you obv are, the only way his stuff won't end up in here is if there's a total blanket ban... 'cos whilst most of us are in or around here for 20 hours a day - the fair-weather SC'ers will end up posting Akqa bits and bobs without realising they're not supposed to.

Akqa, if you're reading, or if this gets back to you (cos your tweeter spies are everywhere) we're just frustrated with the perceived lack of movement - and I for one don't hold you responsible...

Although if you're on a wind-up could you please do it around 9pm rather than at 11.30pm - cos I'm back into working mode after the xmas break now and could do with getting a decent sleep each night. ta!

Anyone think a cheeky bid for Torres is worth a go?? He's clearly not going to recover at Chelsea but is still a class finisher who just needs some coaching. Could we do something with him? Might be a better use of 15 mill than an untried Brazilian...

Ironically, i'd agree with you 100% if Harry was still in charge. He always managesd to get the best out of players deemed past it or lacking in confidence. AVB worked with Torres for a while and didn't manage to get the best out of him, so maybe Torres really is on a downward spiral and/or AVB may just not fancy him.

And would Chelsea take a 35m loss in less than a couple of years? Mind you, Liverpool did in less than a year...

I would like Leandro. The reports on him generally are impressive, as were his performances in the Olympics, which are the only games I've seen him play fully. We've been after him for around 24 years now so it's about time he fucking came. God help him if we sign him and he's shit. It'll be like fancying a girl for years and years and when you finally get to go out with her, you find out she has a diseased clam and fucks like a corpse.

I'm sure he'll be great for us though...

FWIW David is about the benchmark for ITK for me. Can't remember where he posts but at least when he does it tends to happen.
Also, think the thread has held up pretty well this window apart from the 'Twitter Triumvirate' derailing things occasionally, but as has been stated, they aren't bound by anything beyond their own interests, so whilst they appear ITK in any way, they'll always coexist with the good ship SC.

Tbh honest, yesterday was a nightmare to read thru this section, lots of talk about ITK'ers rather than ITK, and also lots of talk about whether Zaha is better than Townsend. Now I don't mind either of those discussions, but can they go elsewhere pls peeps? cos when I log in and see 20 odd pages I think 'shit, summat must be going down' - and there really wasn't. I'm not sat in an office or at home, I'm on a building site on my iPhone and have to go thru all the shit that has nothing to do with what I came on to read.

I love the ITK section, and mainly go to read only first, then in here to see how that's being interpreted. I don't wanna have to go thru lots of stuff that can go in the Zaha thread, or even a spurs chat thread on WUMery.

The thing with Leandro , and call me old fashioned here, is that I like to see players who feel pride in pulling on the shirt play for us.

Everything coming out of the Leandro camp suggests we arent even plan B in his world. More like a D or E.

And I am not even convinced he is quite the player we all hope he is. I thought he looked a little immobile in the Olympics, but I was only half paying attention.

It's all very well saying "if we can't tie up [xxxx] then we should move on to the next striker". Next striker? Have you not seen the dearth of "amazeballs" strikers that are around at the moment. If we have even the tiniest of little toes in the door for a pretty a good one, I'd say it would pay off massively if we got him.

You don't just walk away from a deal because it gets complicated (well, sometimes you do) but [cliche]at the end of the day[/cliche] I think the club want to sell, the player wants to move and we want to buy. It's just a case of bringing all of those intentions to some form of agreement. And it's what makes agents and lawyers wealthy. Good.

Both were next to useless against us but no doubt there are good reasons why. I can imagine Michu getting plenty of stick from Spurs fans if he joined us because of his lack of pace.

I hope this isn't classed as ITK bashing but the problem seems to be similar to the 24 hour news channel problem.

People that are ITK only get info probably every few weeks at best. In the meantime they post a lot, have no end of people bashing them for new info. To fill the void, existing ITK gets extrapolated and stretched and opinions creep in as well as a little friendly banter. Because of their good rep, people take everything they say completely seriously.
