Morning ITK addicts.
First up we'd like to thank everyone who donated yesterday.
Yesterday we had a couple of bits of ITK, early on The Goat made his January dayboo when he told us that
The Goat said:
The Goat hears that Zaha is going to a London club and that Arsenal's interest is dependent on whether or not they can get Walcott to sign a new contract. Contrary to reports, we are in for him.
Which led to a smattering of chat about Zaha
Then, very late on, Hertsyid on COYS said about Leandro..........
Hertsyid said:
Personal terms are agreed but the transfer is complicated. There is dual ownership and image rights are third party. He has a release clause which is exorbitant - Inter are willing to let him go for less but Luigi still wants close to 30m euros all in, which I don't think we will pay.
And that was pretty much it for the ITK.
The Twitterati: Last night we had our old friends of what seems to have become some sort of 'Tripartate Alliance' on Twitter, giving it this and that, which created a bit of a storm. Moutinho 'done' reared its head again and at last count we've actually signed him 16 times.
From comments I read in yesterday's thread, it's pretty much universally acknowledged that there's some drivel being posted by certain people, or, to put it more kindly, they aren't doing themselves any favours by making remarks like 'buzzing', hinting at something which is actually nothing resulting in more frustration.
As for the rest, all I can suggest is that you remember to take your daily dose of salt.
And so we await today's developments.
Know your Onions: I know it was a typo and the author makes some fair points but it still gave me a giggle........
I think we all need to take a step back and realise that transfers change status's from close, not close to wont be happening etc hourly let alone daily, and JJ has hinted that countless times, which is why when an ITK comes out and says he's buzzing, if he isnt backed up by just about every other reputable ITK, it's probably safe to say there isnt much to be buzzing about, it may be a bit of a killjoy but some common sense has to be shown because when one ITK comes out and gets everyone else buzzed, if we all took a step back and realised the likelihood of this one person having new information that no one else has is slim, then we'll all weed out the WUM's and the only info that will be discussed is actually legitimate info. It may not be as fun, but it'l certainly stop people saying we're either doomed or signing Ronaldo and his unborn babies, just my onion anyway
See? Everyone has an Onion.

What an idiot! Maybe he should learn from AVB then and do the same and keep his mouth shut to the press!

That's the end of him then. Even though AVB has been very generous with him and started him whenever he was fit even though his form did not warrant him a start. Already showing his disruptive influence after being signed on a permanent. We all wanted to believe that what they said about him was not true, but it seems now everyone was right.

Morning all!

Even though I look forward to the transfer window opening, I fear its modern day self flagellation.

Only 3 weeks until the window shuts!

I really think we need to move on from this Leandro saga (if hertyid's info is true). We seem to be the only club chasing this guy, so while we're dicking around with Inter, time is running out in securing that striker, a position that's most needed before the window shuts.

I completely missed the hertsyid info in the shite that was being posted last night. I would be really surprised if inter believe they can get 30 million euros for him, I think 20 is pushing the limit on sensibility tbh.

I guess this is going to be another window where we don't get him.

100000% agree. Just makes us a bit of a laughing stock to be honest. We either can pay the price or we can't. Surely it's that simple.

A&C have we reached the point yet where you ban info from the 3 twitter WUMs being posted in here?.... *Crosses fingers in hope*

stuff like this is a great shout. there are tons of players out there with just as much potential who can sort us out in the positions we need. obviously we're not involved at the sharp end but from the outside we may as well bid for messi as damiao at the moment. i get the feeling daniel sees it as a matter of principle and just can't walk away. a lot like us with this damn itk

edit: sorry cloudio, that was in relation to your post. doh.

This "just my onion" stuff is making me cry.

As for the info... do clubs REALLY agree personal terms with a player before they agree a fee with the club? Does that shit really happen?

Why do we allow transfer targets like Leandro to drag on so long? Surely we should get ourselves deadlines, advise the club involved accordingly, and move on if a deal hasn't been done. I suppose some would say we want the deal to drag on as we don't want to actually spend the money. I really hope that isn't what is going on.
