well it would make perfect sense to me to only announce money or investments into club once our transfers and main business is done in summer otherwise we will get bum fucked left right and center.

Exactly. As Tottenham is no longer a plc is there any need to announce new investments at all if, for example, they are coming from Lewis himself?

I thought Lyon needed to sell due to financial problems. But seems like they're still not will to negotiate the price.

I wouldn't pretend to understand how Aulas' mind works. I can't fully recall the details now, but in January '09 he was trying to stir up a bidding war between us and another club for that fucking lunatic Fred; it was odd, because I'm pretty sure that there was no ITK saying we were interested, but there were reports in the French media, including l'Equipe, claiming we were.

Lyon look like a busted flush to me. They had six-seven seasons ruling the roost in Ligue 1, but it appears that the wheels have come off and they're deep in the financial shit. Levy will grind them down.

Apologies for the mixed metaphors.

regular as clockwork. as soon as oscar to chelsea done we are now linked with hulk. so obvious now that this is next one. but few new names mentioned at end of article.

Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas is lining up a move for Porto's exciting striker Hulk.
The Brazilian arrived in London on Tuesday night as part of the Olympic team contingent who are due to face Great Britain on Friday.
Villas-Boas, who coached the player during his tenure at Porto, wants him to be his marquee signing at White Hart Lane and has been given the go-ahead to initiate talks.

Samba style: Hulk was part of the Brazil squad which arrived in London on Tuesday

The powerful 25-year-old was widely expected to join Chelsea this summer with Porto holding out for £38million but Tottenham hope to convince him with the prospect of more regular first team football and negotiate a drop in the fee with Porto.
Hulk wants wages of around £100,000 a week but Tottenham have had to broker a similar pay deal for Emmanuel Adebayor. Manchester City and Chelsea will monitor developments though.
Tottenham maintain an interest in Internacional's Leandro Damiao and are due to watch Fluminense midfielder Wellington Nem and teammate Manuel Lanzini this week.

I really want Hulk to be true, but if history has shown us anything its the fact that Portos chairmain is in fact Levys lost brother. He set a price and either you meet it or you dont.

Moutinho is to expensive, and im fairly sure Hulks price is even higher?
Just seems like Porto dont move to far from their starting price, but hope im wrong.

edit: Dont even rate Hulk that highly, but if anyone know him its AVB.

Lets be realistic here. I doubt Portos chairman will let us have both Moutinho and Hulk.

That's like Levy selling Modric and Bale in the same window to the same team. Never gonna happen.

I'm sure we are interested in Hulk but Moutinho is probably the priority if there is a choice between the two.

Cloud cuckoo land that we'll have any chance of getting Hulk. If Porto want £35m, and we'll struggle to pay £20m...it's just never going to happen. Never used to be this crazy until OIL came into the "sport"....I mean... business. :(

Edit: Just seen who posted the original comment and now mine looks racist! Sorry Jamican Spurs!
Its cool, Don't smoke but wish i did so i could forget that we are entering pre-season with Defoe as our only recognized striker and Modric still half way through the door.

Porto would want way too much money for someone who I don't think is THAT good. He's apparently greedier than Sturridge.
