Looks like Pulisic has moved quite a bit closer to AC Milan today, fee somewhere around €25m.

Good news imo.
Yeah wasn't a name that has been mentioned to me this summer. We had an interest in January, but I don't believe we've been back in touch since then. And in all honesty, I'm glad we haven't because I don't rate him one bit.

Looked a real talent at Dortmund to be fair but badly managed at Chelsea coupled with nagging injury concerns have just stalled his career.

He was electric in the first half of our game against Dortmund in the CL at Wembley, but faded.
when he signed for Chelsea instead of us I felt like we’d missed a real chance.

fortunately, (like lots of players) chelsea is where careers stall.
Shame…. Oh well

Just upped my monthly PayPal contribution. Will add and extra 20GBP if we sign either Tapsoba or Van de ven. Fifty quid if we sign both!

Click the link (banner is on homepage down the right hand side), anything you buy gets us a %. The % changes slightly depending on the product but it's a few % normally. It should also remember you so anything you buy in the next week or two after clicking should also count.
Is that valid for all Amazon stores or just the UK?

Financial circumstances changed for me this year. Finally.
Anyway. £20 in the coffers to help a site I have been following for 15 years.
Great work guys. 👏

It's a two-fold problem to some extent:

1) Advertising revenue has dropped off a cliff and as we keep seeing, Google keep trying to push the really annoying (full screen, pop-up, etc) ads. If we allowed them, it could well pay for itself but it really ruins the site.
2) We need a server that can handle the insane traffic for about 2 weeks of the year. We have to pay for it for the whole year though. It'd be a fraction of the cost to support the server for a normal boring week in November or March. We've looked at options for "on demand" type pricing before and these just never worked (or they got really ridiculous really fast). So we're paying a premium to make sure we don't go down at the end of January/August.

At the minute I'm reasonably happy. We do have to pass the begging bowl around a few times a year but that generally works well and means we can avoid going down the Football London route with all their adverts.

Have you looked into elastic resource allocation using virtual servers.

fully sizeable and will allow you to increase server requirements only when the demand requires it.

Just a thought, you’ve probably looked into it anyway, but thought I’d throw it out there.

I second this and as an Azure Engineer I’m more than willing to help set it up in the cloud if necessary, all I ask in return is a good reference and maybe a lil suck from @Archibald&Crooks but I suspect that’s more of treat for him than me.

When I try to donate it asks for my country and when I say New Zealand it says donations to this recipient aren't permitted from this country. That's via Paypal or credit card. Any idea why that it is the case and is there any other way to donate?

This happens sometimes and there's not an easy solution. We appreciate the thought though!
