LLM stuff is excellent and cant fault it, however the Bale info at the moment is only for a select few and unless he is hearing directly from a select few people he may be a bit behind time wise. The club line within is he's staying but go higher and you get the real (no pun intended)story.
JJ you seem to be preparing us for a exit within a week or so

JJ seems to be awfully confident and there is no doubting he has sources close to the top.

Also disheartened by the fact we have not heard from POTL on the Bale info recently. Earlier in the window, he was beating the Born to Play for Spurs drum just about every week when there was speculation. Haven't heard a bit from him in about a week or so on the matter when things appeared to change. POTL is more of a only positive news type guy, so the fact he isn't saying much speaks volumes imo.

Wouldn't read to much into. Potls silence, could just be that as far as he is concerned, nothing's changed from what he posted last week

No matter what the outcome is.

Come Crystal Palace away. I am feeling very optimistic.

Still hugely delighted with the Soldado transfer.

What a signing of intent!!!
I'd be feeling a lot more optimistic about Palace away if Kaboul and Sandro could get some minutes under their belt, and we would sign a centre-back/stop selling people. I'd struggle to name our team at the moment!

JJ, if we sell Bale, you think we will have all our incoming's sorted prior to him going? Just hope we don't sell him and aren't able to sort out deals in time before the deadline.

Cheers for clearing that up.
Also I would totally understand this official line being taken. 1) It doesn't make it look like Levy gave in weak 2) We have to remember we're still a relatively small club and to receive anywhere near the money being touted would be crazy for us

I just hope if Bale goes we get a good deal, I'm worried they are going to try and lowball us.

Just like to say to Mystery I think we all appreciate your straight forward posting!

Anyway.

Been going through the last couple of hours of posts and a couple of randoms, and i'm sorry if they're not but one had 1 post the other 200 odd, have come in tonight and said 'i'm hearing Bale's going...' and all the ITK we've had in the last day has been inclined towards Bale staying. Then there's the idea that someone said about people (agents, clubs, journos, whoever) advancing a n untrue side of the story. If I was guessing which side of the argument was being falsely stated i'd say it was the one that is weirdly recruiting random posters to post about Bale going...

I'd love to see the details of our partnership agreement with Real. Have you? Is there anything officially in it for us? And do they essentially have first option on our players at preferential rates? As personally I cant see them being able to put down 90 million big ones up front on the table.

Completely appreciate the info, but jj seems to be suggesting that false info is being leaked out the club, possibly so we can get replacements in at non-inflated prices. Could there potentially be a chance you have been fed some of this info?

He didn't say that, I suggested it might be possible.

While it's great reading all the stuff that comes through here people's reactions are ludicrous! Good news = get in there! Definately happening! Why would they make it up?

Bad news = nah, bollocks. Who's your source? Let's wait and see what everyone else says

Would be incredible and joyous if he stays but all indicators are pointing to him leaving.

ITK is great stuff, but the sheer volume of professional journalists saying he's off has to suggest its the case - it is their paying job to know these things,or at least have a good idea about them!

But has jj ever had anything wrong?

Yes.

So have a lot of other ITK's but this summer some others have been more on the ball and I'm not knocking the info, this site is awesome for all the ITK it gets but no one is infallible.

I dont remember who said it but i remember someone saying once the partnership agreement involved first refusal rights on bale and something to do with the youngsters

not trained with the full squad and still suffering from an injury according to the guardian.

Well if that's the case then I wouldn't expect him to play at Monaco. I hope that he is truthfully (mildly) injured and it is not a cover story.

Actually, he was in Cardiff today wasn't he? He obviously wasn't training then was he? It may be that his injury is slightly worse than first assumed and needs a little extra time off so AVB let him go home for a bit or that AVB does in no way want to risk him aggravating his gluteus maximus (arse) so he is ready for the start of the season.

It may be that he has been given some time off to get his head around the media storm that he is the epicentre of currently and has gone to speak things over with the family. His GF doesn't want to go by all accounts.......

Shit, there are so many possibilities and no one but the gutter press has anything to say about it, its damn sure annoying.

One thing is for sure, we are getting unprecedented publicity now. No such thing as bad publicity right? I just hope Little Danny is playing this thing as I hope he is because he would then become a legend.

He is not saying a thing but in so, getting maximum coverage and raising our profile around the world, getting the media in to a frenzy where the price keeps going up and up in the papers and such because they all keep the one-upmanship game going, RM also going with the price to not lose face, secretly getting Bale on a new deal, tying up all the new signings and then on transfer deadline day, holding a press conference where he presents Bale with a new contract.

He has then got RM by the balls for next season (if Bale does decide to go) because the price has been whipped up to an incredible (best Dr Evyl accent) £100m cash up-front minimum. Still got Bale for a season. Has the sponsorship contracts that he so dearly wants. Has the fans onside, has supported AVB, has been the guy to turn down a world record bid, has set a precedent for the future. And a whole load of other thing I cant think of right now.

Wishful thinking 'eh?

I think that jj knows we are willing to sell at the right price and we are discussing a possible deal. It's just seems that Madrid don't have anywhere near the amount suggested. They must be trying to through players into a deal which totally complicates the deal.

For some reason other are hearing different???

I just hope this doesn't drag on into the start of the season as its not good for team morale.

I think JJ mentioned last night that the current offer is a good deal for spurs so my assumption from that is that something around our asking price (whether that includes players or not) has been agreed in priciple

Very strong rumours of Ronaldo to United doing the rounds, that would provide the money for Bale then.

Guys as I said in my thread in the RO this morning, Bale is NOT leaving. I've no problem saying how I get my info either. I own a marketing firm that deals with solely footballers, rugby players and musicians, however the bulk of my work is within English clubs, both premier league and championship. It's my job to make sure they're as marketable as possible, dealing with their endorsements etc.

The people I deal with know more than the majority of journalists out there... The reason I'm saying this, is because I'm 100% confident that Gareth will not be leaving.

Cheers,

M

Sounds like interesting work!

Might just be a case of convincing any players involved in a potential deal to slum it with us. Could be a major sticking pt and hopefully one that kyboshes it for this season.

You're completely right about Gareths' other half not wanting to go. She has a very close relationship with his parents. She wears the trousers in the relationship, and she's not one you'd want to cross, trust me!
