True, but getting the sense we have not asked Southampton if we can talk yet, still lining our ducks up in a row. The problem we have is that bigger boys are at the same shooting range !
Hmmm, i don't like the sound of this... Previous noises have been that we are the only ones really looking at these guys, hence why we could take our time. If other clubs come in we could really end up with egg on our face here...

So this new ITK with FDB, I like that. I hope it's true. Pochettino is a good manager and I would support him the second he is confirmed, but I've always liked De Boer. He knows how to implement a system, develop youth and win. Now, obviously, he has done that at Ajax and at a weaker league, but there's no denying his results. Not that Pochettino couldn't achieve things here, but I just have a better feeling that De Boer could. Not to mention that it would keep Vertonghen and Eriksen, our two best players after Lloris, very happy.

I would be very surprised if a bigger club than us was looking at Poch. I think if we want him and are prepared to meet whatever his demands are then he'll join. FBD may be another matter.

I get that impression too, but we only hear what media say etc. poch has a very good rep in Spain, and I wouldn't be surprised if some clubs need a manager they would take a long look at Poch, just like we are.

The real question is does he believe in dm's, or is he of the opinion makelele was the worst thing to happen to the PL?

I don't think any club outside the Prem would be looking at Poch, it is that Prem experience that puts him so highly on our list, I dont know which would be best I think De Boer might need time as he is very much about the overall club philosophy but if he was given time and support he has great potential, whoever does get the job is inheriting a very good group of players and top class facilities for developing youth......hmmm reading that back I would like to see FDB get it...

No offence to the other ITKs, especially @BunionBoy who seems solid, but doesn't JJ have the most proven track record? He's expecting Poch, so I think people should probably take him as our most likely candidate atm..

Just to clarify as it wasn't clear. The bit about bunionboy was sarcasm :shifty: What do you people take me for

I release Bunionboy having liked my post might have made that unclear

It's not any harder than telling A&C where you got your information from. He won't tell anyone, but I guess that's not what's stopping you

Has JJ actually said he expects Poch?

From what I'm told JJ was broadsided by a whopping big AVB shaped battleship 2 years ago

Congratulations. I've pretty much seen it all on SC but this took even my breath away. My eyes are still winding their way back into their sockets :D
