I have a feeling De Boer has been a done deal for a while, I just don't think the club wanted the news to get out ahead of getting rid of Sherwood and that's why they are showing interest in Poch now,

Maybe wishful thinking on my part, but I can't see why De Boer ever said anything if there was nothing there

I guess an announcement will happen soon enough though, Ajax are back on Sunday so I imagine something should be announced by the end of next week

I think you might be right about the timing of the announcement, even the week after.

I may be being overoptimistic - it is Spurs, after all - but this manager ITK fills me with much more confidence than player ITK. Unlike with player ITK when we could just end up signing no-one, we know that we will end up appointing a manager, and it seems as if Spurs have all the power, and that it is simply a case of us having to choose which man we make a proper 'bid' for.

And seeing as I am happy with Poch and FdB - slight preference for FdB, not too sure why - then I feel that (at least at the moment) I can just enjoy watching the events unfold and the conflicting ITK happen. I look forward to seeing which one eventually becomes our manager.

I'll point out I'm not verified and the other bit I've ever been privy to was Gareth Bale staying last summer so take this as you want.
I heard basically that FDB is still in the frame. Poch not cut and dry.

Wow that's pretty groundbreaking. It's almost as if you haven't just said we could either appoint Fdb or Poch, but you have no clue which. Congratulations.

Also, Bale didn't stay last summer...

FDB is my first choice anyway. Just for the reason that we need Super Jan to stay, and playing like he did a year ago!

Tbh I got so frustrated with Jan this season that I almost wouldn't be disappointed if we cashed in.

However, if FdB comes in and we keep Jan, then a couple of good performances and it won't take me long to rediscover my love for him.

I think that might just be the problem mate. We've had so many WUMs in the past, so you can't really blame A&C or SC

Not decided yet.

I like all the ITK noises that the ball is very much in Tottenham's court - it seems as if we just have to decide which one we want and then swoop. May be misreading that though. I do think we are quite lucky in that only United are also looking for a manager out of the top European clubs, and they seem set on LVG.

It's fair enough imo given there's been some suggesting Poch is a done deal

Not really fair, I too was told Bale would be staying and so was AVB for a long time.

Shame that Bergkamp wouldn't be joining FDB. Love to hear the high pitch Scum Wail and he would be a great coach for Eriksen.
