- Madrid making up the difference in cash.

If they cant find other suitors for Coentrao to raise the dough, it could be possible that Madrid would help out financially with Coentrao to help him move to us ? Wage supplement, or lump of cash ?

My take on it is that we spoke with Contreau and he wasn't happy with the wages hence the "rejected" ITK and media reports.

So we sent out Baldini to do the "little bit of convincing" that the other ITK mentioned. And now another is saying its not dead...

Franco is "convincing" Soprano style.

Not too fussed if we don't sign Coentrao. First of all, if we get Willian then I believe we will have ticked off most of the priority positions from last season (if Kaboul is indeed fully fit again). Second, as great as it is to be the money bags for once, I really would like to see some of the younger players that we have partially developed have a chance to get somewhere near the first team. For me, Rose has the potential to be good with some more game time and I'd like to see how he gets on. A nice blend of global superstar and developed talent would be my preference.

I would like Coentrao but I would love Baines. I don't see why we couldn't get him if we slapped in a 15m bid. Small fry for us nowadays
