I guess now is the time we test out our squad depth, if Defoe really is injured, just a shame we lack these things called strikers.

Townsend. He's a player I'd love to see more of, especially after the Swansea game. That said, I think Dempsey, Gylfi and Dembele are just as good options as Bale, and I believe the most important thing is to avoid too much switching around.

I think Dembele would do a great job as a striker, but he's too important in midfield, and so on. Therefore, I believe our best option simply is this:

Parker-Dembele​

Lennon-Sigurdsson-Bale​

Dempsey​

That means we have very little backup, but it's six very good players, and as long as it's not for several consecutive games, it's a decent option.​

I was touting Wanyama for a bit around here after the Summer window. Neil Lennon put his fee at around 25m or something like that so I shut up for a bit.

Wanyama essentially is a young Yaya Toure.

He's pivotal to Celtic as he can cover CB/DM/CM at a high level.

I want to make this clear. I have asked JJ previously if he minds being asked questions, and he said no he doesn't mind. We are both grown ups, and he is no dimwit, and he and I both know that he has the option to ignore or politely decline or request no questions.

in view of this, I would like to ask JJetset a question.

Will you please post on here that we have no interest in signing Hooper - even if we have? To emphasise, say that AVB went to watch Celtic just to keep Fergie company, and that we wouldn't have Hooper if Celtic paid us to take him?

I have nothing against Hooper, and have absolutely no opinion about him as I have never seen him play (not even a YouTube clip), but I am completely fucking sick of all of this bickering about him. If you say we're not after him, it might just stop.

If you say we're not interested and we then sign him, your ITK 'rep' won't be affected as you can just reproduce this post. This will, in fact, score you a bajillion humanitarian rep points.
