Forgot about Fryers...

£3M the price of potential now

(although that's probably £1.50 for fryers and the rest to see Fergies face move a couple of notches up the colour chart)

There's no way that it can have actually been £3m. That's merely the randomly calculated figure that was being bandied about in initial press reports. Most just ran with it from there I imagine. Doubt that the actual figure was even in excess of £1m. Anything more than that makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. This is Levy we're talking about here!

Mind you the club is probably happy enough to see leave these false figures hanging out there. Probably wouldn't want to attract even closer attention to just how badly we fucked over United with this deal.

We should take a punt on Matej Vydra on loan at Watford... He'd suit our counter attacking style down to the ground. Much rather him than Hooper. A lot younger, cheaper & bigger talent in the making

Probably with add ons, future payments, etc

Agree with you cant see it being £3million unless it is the total fee if addons are met that may have been set by Liege, who agreed to the ones set by United

Could AVB be out-Levying Levy?

Levy stitches him by going over the Moutinho deadline on purpose, to AVB gets Defoe to feign injury, with the medical staff in on it to speed up a move for Falcao, Llorente, Benzema, Ronaldo or Messi!!!!!!

Defoe being injured is not ideal but it isn't the end of the world (as long as its not long). As other have already commented, I think CD will step up to the plate. The other good thing is that it gives Gylfi a chance to get a little run in the team. I think his off the bench displays have been very promising, not only chipping in with assists, but he is also the only one in our team who consistently puts good balls in from set pieces. COYS

And Levy comes back with Hooper! I like this, but how will it all end?

FFS, as someone clearly pointed out earlier, Lewandowski scored 1/2 in the Polish league, roughly ranked equally to Scotland, and has gone on to great things. That doesn't mean that every player that scores goals in Poland is good enough to be a superstar in the Bundesliga, but equally doesn't mean you should discount those that do. That's what good scouts are paid for, kapish?

Well Togo lost so Ade might be back soon.

After that miss today, I think he needs as many games there as he can get. I was hoping he'd use it to regain some confidence. After what happened today, his confidence is probably lower.

I think we would manage with just Holtby for a few games.

Dembele Parker
Lennon Holtby Bale
Dempsey

Subs: Siggy, Hudd, Livermore, Townsend/Falque

Strong. Unfortunately we are 1 injury away from being fucked.

With Hooper it's not that he plays in Scotland it's that I just don't think he's very suited to our style of play. Not big and good at holding up the ball, not a great dribbler or passer, not particularly fast or strong... Yeah he's a good finisher but we need a lot more from a striker. I just do not think he's all that.

Furthermore it's who else we could buy instead of him; 10m is rather steep.

Would Udinese want to sell him now though? Seems his loan move has really paid off.

Edit: nevermind. There's no ITK on him and seemingly little on Hooper anyway.

We've got another week to wait to see if we do make any moves anyway.

stick bale up front

Who do we put LW that can offer the same sort of service he can though?

I guess now is the time we test out our squad depth, if Defoe really is injured, just a shame we lack these things called strikers.
