They can't it's why he is consider appealing to FIFA. They've offered him a new contract and 'prioritising' the negotiations on that over his potential transfer away. It's a smoke and mirrors way of not allowing him to talk to other clubs.

I realise that was in jest... but you still need permission from the club that holds his registration otherwise we would technically be tapping him up, and he would be doing something that they could claim is in breech of contract and could possibly prevent the move.

I've not been around much today and not made it in here, and have only just got this far reading through todays thread.

I want to make this clear. I have asked JJ previously if he minds being asked questions, and he said no he doesn't mind. We are both grown ups, and he is no dimwit, and he and I both know that he has the option to ignore or politely decline or request no questions. And I certainly didn't coerce him or badger him (or "Bug" him). I simply asked a question based on a post he'd made, that wasn't very sensational or regarding any transfers.

There was no "bugging" or "wishwifing".

And I want to make clear that we have asked plenty of times that people don't do it. For several reasons. And what happened here was an example of why. So, one last time, please do not do it any more.
