From Ojay on Coys:

Just got some ITK on Remy from his agent.

We are desperate for him. DL is calling his agent daily but he will not sign until arse make a decision. He is not their number one target but seems to be ours.

I can't see this one being all that accurate....i am sure that Remy is high on our list, but aside from that i don't buy it.

Say what you will about Levy (good or bad) the one thing that is constant with him is he is a very smart businessman.

There is no way Levy would be on the phone daily with Remy's agent if Remy wants to wait for Arse....it gives the agent too much leverage. I would actually expect Levy to go quiet once he had been told Remy wants to consider Arse. I would expect more rumours with other strikers to start floating out....Levy would be working to force the agent's hand not provide the agent with leverage to negotiate with Spurs and any other team.

Uhh, no. Lallana is not worth 10mill. Being English should have nothing to with it. The whole english premium thing is really terrible for English football and the what amounts to an English superiority complex the FA has now adopted will end up one of the worst things to happen to the PL.

He's not even worth ten million? In today's market....Jesus you need to contact reality mate.

Exactly. We bought Sig for £8m for Christ sake.

Anyway, if his name was Lallanio I'm sure lots of people would be prepared to pay whatever it took.

ring-ring, ring-ring

Reality: You're through to reality, how can I help?

Yankspurs: Err, yeah, how much do you think Lallana is worth?

Reality: You won't get much change from £20m

Yankspurs: Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuck....and hangs up.

You clearly do not understand the market if you think Lallana isn't worth £10m. How many times does this have to be re-iterated, Adam Lallana is worth whatever the selling club think the player is worth. Adam Lallana has just come off a very solid season with Southampton, he was their best player and their club captain not to mention he got called up to the England squad and his stock is forever rising, he's an asset.

What's more Southampton don't want to sell him neither do they need to sell him therefore that's their way of saying he isn't for sale but if you want him you're gonna have to part with that much.

If Adam Lallana was foreign and had just come back off a very successful season with Southampton they'd be no difference in the price, why do you think it's exclusive to English players.

Do you honestly think there is one player that would rather join us than Arsenal at the moment?

Get with the times, mate.

Can't say I get this mentality. Arsenal are clearly a more attractive prospect to all except a hardened spurs fan. He is at the world cup and has no reason to panic and force a move. If he has a good WC chances are bigger teams may be interested so why wouldn't you wait? Put yourself in his position.

It would be lovely if we were everyone's first choice but if Michele Keegan walked into a bar and with the sole purpose of eating a dick and I was the 2nd guy she asked I would still have my trousers round my ankles faster than she can say "Is that it?"

Not much, but Billy White is as reliable as you'll get

Methinks the connection Grey Fox is making between us inquiring and Lovren submitting his request is a forced one. Just because both are true doesn't mean they're connected. If this is what he has heard then fair play, but it is not what I've been picking up recently. As always, more to come when I can.

I remember Paul Jewell saying he'd had Levy call him up pretty much every day while we were trying to sign Shimbomba. He joked that he'd spoken to Levy more than he had his wife haha.

So there could be a small amount of truth in Levy calling Remy's agent. Although Levy's probably on a wind up in revenge for every time agent ITK called Levy offered him Leandro or something.

That's a misinterpretation on what he said, though. He said he's not worth that, he didn't mention today's market. If anything he isn't doubting in today's market he'd be worth that - but he's (rightly) pointing out how English players prices are inflated in the current climate.

Not sure why this got quite a few agrees, can none of you read?

He's worth what a Club are prepared to pay, so claiming he isn't worth ten million is a bollox statement to make.

It does say from Remy's agent and agents are always likely to spread these kind of rumours to make it appear a club really wants their player. I tend to agree, Levy won't show his hand too much and I'm not convinced Remy is our first choice striker either.

Arsenal regularly play in the CL, pay better and at times are even title contenders. We don't pay on par with them due to not having a bigger stadium and have played in the CL only once. If a player picks them over us its because they are the better choice.

True....and Spurs are always linked to virtually everyone in Europe (rightly or wrongly) mainly because we usually have a need somewhere, we have some money and just as important....we tend not to comment on much.

This window has already been interesting in that the Lallana, Remy and one other (forget who it was) were all very, very quickly denied to SKY from somewhere inside the club....normally we would just let that spin and never address it, but in the last couple weeks we seem to have made sure that someone from in the club made an informal call to SKY to ensure that "Spurs sources say they have no interest" is blasted out quickly for all to see.
