Worth every penny is Moutinho, the fulcrum of probably the only midfield to give the Spanish team a game in the past 8 yrs - more importantly he is who AVB wants, got to back him now, could be too late in the summer - all this without mentioning Sandro's injury

No doubt about his performance in Portugal shirt but it will be a summer signing only.

Damiao is not interested, Willian is also only for summer. Question is should we splash the money now or reserve it for summer for the 2nd phase of rebuilding?

I think most likely scenerio is a loan move for Callejon if he is available (which I doubt). But if we gonna sign Kenwyne Jones, then I rather we play Obika.

Alternatively we get Sneijder now and drop Moutinho altogether.... which is also an alternative. THe key is with Andre..... is he agreeable with WS in exchange with Moutinho now or we risk this season and rebuild again in summer.

IMO... its now or never. If we fail to qualify, then Moutinho and Willian will not come.... even Holtby deal could go up in smoke.

we are not as deep as we think. we might have the numbers but not the quality.
basically we have 2 starters for ST, CM, DC, and we only have 1 starter for RW,LW, LB, RB position. we will up the first team nicely but if we get 1 - 2 injuries to our main and we are fucked. we do not have quality back ups.

Not true, we have 2 starters for RB, CB, LB (Verts/Rose), DM/CM/AM, Striker, wings are our weakest point if we're talking about just 2 players, and Townsend isn't shit, and if Bale gets injured Dempsey is likely to play there ahead of Townsend showing relative strength in that position. RW is our only PROPER failure.

You've chosen really odd positions to make your point. Like stressing we have 2 strikers when one goes to ACN and even when he's played he's been shit (Regardless of the fact he should be good) ahead of the idea you think we have 1 RB when Naughton has proved himself a lot more than Ade, and yet isn't considered in your examples?!

Sneijder and Moutinho are different players. WS is a #10, whilst JM is a CM, linking play and getting about the pitch. Even for Holland VDV used to play in midfield with WS at #10.

IMO, WS wouldn't fit as well into the AVB system.
