Yes, I share some of your concerns. Baldini was brought in after Villas Boas, with an understanding they'd work well together and were happy to do so. I'm not as sure Tim will be happy with that long-term, and if we are going to look for a more experienced manager in the summer to replace Timmy, whether or not they're happy to work under Baldini will influence or restrict our choice. For example, the talk of Van Gaal led me to think he'd be highly unlikely to want to work under a director of football (not that I'd want Van Gaal as our manager).
I wonder if Franco's stay at The Lane might not be all that long.

LVG has worked under a DoF at all his clubs, including his most recent club role at Bayern Munich.

LVG has also worked as a DoF (second spell at Ajax), so appreciates the role and boundaries/relationships required more than anyone.

Has their been any news on whether we have challenged or intend to challenge the red card for Rose?

Not for here but BBC says yes we are.

As for ins and outs, id take both berba and nani on a loan basis with an option on each as im not sure they are what we need long term but both could add some attacking quality this season. Defence is vital for improving but i doubt there will be any movement there. My major concern is that we could lose both verts and hugo in the summer as both barca and real will be in the market for CBs and GKs and it might help to get ahead of the issue by signing up some cover sooner rather than later to protect our position within the market

My God this TW is dull.

I need something to distract me from work.

Bloody hell - do you see what it's done to me. I usually contribute (albeit not very well). This window has killed me off, and I guess kind of saved you all from my nonsense. :( I've been around, 'lurking' I suppose.

The lack of ITK is just A&C fulfilling his contract with the marriage guidance council by limiting our visits to the site. The down turn however will be a surge in family planning advice! :playful:

The day off?

I booked the whole week off thinking I couldn't live without SC's 'second to none transfer and ITK coverage' :)

Probably somewhat debatable no matter what the official hierarchy. However at Bayern there are loads of strong characters on board.

Don't know if anyone has mentioned this nut Ian Abrahams, on his web-site that shall not be mentioned, reckons a Berba/Holtby loan swap is in the offing? Thoughts?

How on earth can we leave it too late? You would think the club are aware of when the transfer window closes, you would assume
