Charlie sold them the “gentlemen’s agreement” line and they bought it, bizarrely.tunder £100m, worlds most complete number 9, 3 year contract at the time. Some of the rumours/media stories at the start were £170-180m where as Levy wanted £200m apparently. Then the bids came from City around £100m, it looked crazy at the time and unworkable.
However it doesn’t only reflect badly on Charlie, also makes City looks foolish, imagine believing Levy would sell Kane massively cheap.
True. but lloris and winks both as good as gone already and there will be decent loan market for quite a few of the others at the very worst. As much as I'd like this to happen, that would require a record breaking numbers of outs. Even if Levy has changed his outlook on how we need to operate I just can't see us shifting 15 plus players
I think the numbers of outgoings could quickly shoot up once we really get going if Levy is half way sensible on Valuations and I really do think he might be this time around.
agents like Base love outgoings as well as they can get paid at both ends a lot more easily if Levy gives them a mandate.
