5 after Vicario and Maddison suggests to me a full defensive rebuild which I'm all for. Got to think 3 of those will be defenders at least. Then I assume a midfielder (Scott/Hatate?) and a Lucas replacement (Solomon/Jota?).

Going to be a crazy amount going out of the door too.

Ange and Munn out here playing real life football manager and I love it!

Re the kane meltdown and ITK. Trix said something about his nob-end agent taking any call that comes and being a poor operator. so if Bayern have bid - it could be that ol' Charlie boy is stirring up news and taking calls - not that the club or the player is firmly interested.

Great also to hear we want five more. I hope that's not because (contrary to above) we've sold kane and are spending the money before announcing. Personally feel he goes nowhere - and i'm firmly not in the 'sell him now and rebuild camp'. Hopefully these five, given the reported fees, are the manager being backed - using some of that cash injections from last year - and accounts for player sales. I wana keep Kane.

If I was his rep I'd be wanting to keep him in the headlines especially when it's as positive as having a global icon club being interested, however there is a way to do it and a way not to. Clubs use agents to test the water and gauge interest and potential cost and this is where Charlie gets it all wrong. It was Charlie who was telling City that they would be able to get Kane for less than £100mil which was just never the case, and he'd basically made that up. That's just not how you do things and leaves you in no mans land when it all goes inevitably wrong.

This is simply music to my ears.

Really hope it comes off. This is just the kind of adrenaline shot this club needs after the last few years.

Positive football and positive energy. I've got high hopes for the Ange/Munn era.
As much as I'd like this to happen, that would require a record breaking numbers of outs. Even if Levy has changed his outlook on how we need to operate I just can't see us shifting 15 plus players

I can't see it being 15, but if we are taking lower prices (like winks) than we wanted before just to get them out, we could shift a good few of them.

under £100m, worlds most complete number 9, 3 year contract at the time. Some of the rumours/media stories at the start were £170-180m where as Levy wanted £200m apparently. Then the bids came from City around £100m, it looked crazy at the time and unworkable.

However it doesn’t only reflect badly on Charlie, also makes City looks foolish, imagine believing Levy would sell Kane massively cheap.

After all the chat about, specifically Southgate telling H to get other representation, you'd think he'd have learnt that his dear brother is a massive moron!

We could and I believe we will, but enough to sign that many more players? Our squad is massively bloated as is

Don't think the bids were even £100m, weren't they around £70m?

Clubs react to agents knowing in general they have the inside track(we very much do the same). Charlie's isn't even on the track. Whilst everyone else is completing their 400m Charlie is circling the outside of the stadium.

Does feel a bit wishful, let's hope Munn is better at selling/loaning than Paratici was!

great update from d1 there. nice to see all itk's aligned also as it's been very consistent so far. Lets hope the positivity continues, loving the idea of young hungry mobile/quick players as opposed to the slow/methodical/backwards/sideways crap we've become used to. think we're going to be a completely different proposition next season.
Have spoken to a LOT of Aussie & Scottish footie fans in recent weeks and the unanimous consensus on Ange is: ‘Underestimate him at your peril.’

Re the 5, i think it will be 3x CB (with one likely to be Lenglet as we have to have some experience). Tosin makes sense from HG perspective but the two from Germany have much higher ceilings.

Would Certainly mean both Dier and Sanchez going. And most likely Davies. I feel Ange would rather get someone better suited to LB IF Destiny can’t adapt to being an orthodox full back (I think he will do just fine) but I struggle to believe that decision to get a new LB has been made yet.

then I’d guess a wing forward.

What position the 5th will be has me stumped. A Hojberg replacement probably but would be surprised that we are looking at that so early and before seeing how Bissouma, Skipp and Sarr look in pre season in a new system.

All this before Ange has even assessed any of them on the training pitch? There were obvious areas we needed to fill and we've clearly moved early for those, but I can't see we've already decided on the fringe players or full backs in or out without Ange even looking at them.

Yeah to get anywhere near this we need to be considering contract cancellations for a few that we can’t shift. People like Perisic, Rodon, etc

Would be wild but not sure how realistic it is
