Nah he’d signed. At the time we had ITK as close to that deal as possible. It took months to announce but the ink was long dry on the contract.
Was that the one that they tried to say they didn’t sign?

when I say they want 5 more it will not be excessive , holberg is very likely to go as are 3 or 4 others , the returning loanees will All get a chance pre season but many will be off loaded , there are going to be some swap deals plus some contracts torn up this will be our busiest summer since bale left and we bought Chadli, soldado etc etc
I like this a lot, desperately hoping Gil gets a chance to ping it around in an offensive system.

If we proceed to sign Tabsoba + 1 for reasonable fees without any kind of dramas I'm gonna start wondering if I've died and transcended to another dimension.

This just isn't how we do business
It is when we get a new manager! Levy starts showing off. First window, 'wow, has he finally learnt his lesson', the rest is history! I hope lessons have been learnt as I hope twice a year every year for 20+ years.

This. Have lessons really been learnt and why has this club been allowed to drift for so long?

Neither this is all business , the club and brand need cl football plus there has to be a huge turn around if we are to stand a chance of keeping Kane so the club needed to act quickly and efficiently

Enic have never put their hands in there pocket but they have pretty much always spent the revenue earned just as we did after the cl final that is what is happening now the stadium has been doing very well also Daniel cares as much if not more about our wage bill then transfer fees , Loris is on 100k a week is leaving, Moura on 80k has gone , winks on 50k is going this allows us to do other things and spend

Hopefully this isn’t because this is the summer Kane leaves

Most of the people in the decision-making process very highly rate Taps. The data team, some of our scouts (unfortunately we still have some scouts - for now - who haven’t bought into this new way of thinking and working), and especially the two people who aren’t yet employees of the club believe he’d be a great fit for our plans. Having said that, we feel we’ve offered a very fair price and if Leverkusen are good to go at that price, we do it. If not, we’ll spend the money on other targets. For the first time that many of us can remember we’re not messing other clubs around by nickel and dimeing them, and we’re not allowing ourselves to be messed around by other clubs. Feels both weird and wonderful to be working this way. We’re moving with speed and purpose. Surreal. Hoping DL has the spheres to stay the course.
Incredible. We’re a club that don’t muck around. This is amazing. We might as well be handed the League Cup now.

The next step in this evolution will be that we identify you as a target in the morning and have you signed by evening. When a player hears we’re interested they might as well pack their bags, ready to head out.

Just catching up with the absolute swathe of ITK.

What the actual titty fucking Christ is going on?!

Spice my sausages, this is all excellent news! 😀

I think the parts we have received about how we are operating are the most crucial. I think this is the kind of behaviour that fans can buy into, which will hopefully lift the fucking malaise that’s surrounded this place for so long.

Lavia? Jesus christ this fella is an absolute generational talent imo!

I genuinely don't think I could pick out a better player in the world for us to sign and play in Ange's 6 other than maybe Caicedo, but I love press resistant players so I'd actually still prefer Lavia.

I'd sooner spend £105m on him than Rice.

Deal is too good for selling club? Won't be Solomon as Shakhtar aren't getting a good deal out of it at all. Tapsoba makes the most sense as we've heard that Leverkusen don't want to lose him because of other potential losses, but if we offer good money then perhaps that means they don't have to sell Tah and Frimpong?

Also is Lavia the Southampton lad (Romeo)? Genuinely not seen him play but I see he's another DM which feels like we are hoarding at this point.

Tapsoba I hope, get Ledley type vibes from him. Strong, fast and composed.

I love this new data driven recruitment. Make smart signings of the right profile to slot around the top quality players we already have at the club. Eliminate weaknesses.

If we keep this up I genuinely think we're going to shock a lot of people next season, everyone seems to have written us off as mid table also-rans after last season.

Hoarding certainly not if a player leaves for good money ;)
