Well this thread is bound to be ridiculous because our business on the incoming side is pretty much done imo. Outgoings don't excite people enough get a whole days thread out of them.
But I look at the players that we're talking about incoming now and its just silly. There no way he's bringing in another midfielder and if he does it is a total waste of money. If Capoue is out til new year and beyond then I think Carroll will stay. We could actually have done with Carroll in the team yesterday, someone who moves the ball quickly and directly to forwards making runs. We have two places in the team that need strenghtening, and most people actually agree with this - Left back and striker.
Left back :- I'm actually happy with BAE interchanging with Rose. AVB is not as big a fan (no shit sherlock!) but unless BAE is sold then I doubt we'll bring someone else in. Even with AVB not liking him he couldn't convince me that BAE is not a decent backup. We're not getting FC and I doubt Shaw is available for a price we're willing to spend so whoever comes in would be a surprise to me. I predict Benny stays and will be upset if he goes and we're stuck with Naughton to cover both full back positions.
Striker :- still absolutely hating that we missed out on Benteke. Soldado is good but there will be many games this season when we just won't see him. Its not his fault either. He's exactly like Defoe with composure, a better understanding of the offside rule and slightly better heading ability. His presence in the squad renders Defoes useless to us (except maybe the odd time Defoe long range shooting might bale us out). We now need to sell Defoe to bring someone in which kills me because the person we should sell is the useless lump of a tool Adebayor. And that in turn freaks me out because Ade has all the attributes we actually need from our second striker and he couldn't be arsed. I want to sell them both but know it won't happen today. If I had to choose I'd sell Defoe. Who could we bring in though? Benzema won't happen so I think this willl be a surprise name if it happens, and I'm predicting it will.

Think he is referring to previous windows, unless he wants to go I doubt we'll be looking to ship him out. Perfect for Europa League/Cup squads and an options off the bench. An important squad player that will get a decent go of things regardless.

Sure i heard BAE is going QPR on loan, possibly on SSN..
Although it makes sense to do all our business and then sell the person funding that business, no? It would be a much worse state of affairs if we sold Bale first and were then held to ransom for the replacement signings. (Source: Past 5 transfer windows).

Well if BAE goes out on loan then his knee truly is FUBAR'd. The only way it makes sense is when we know we have to either take a loss on the player because he won't pass a medical, or play him til he becomes a free agent. Loaning him out would get some wages off the books at least. There is no other reason to loan out a player that AVB will never want when we could get a decent price for him now.
By the way, it might be true but SSN is still full of poo-poo.
