One more thing it’s not impossible that we buy two strikers , it could be Watkins plus the other guy I’m referring to , the other guy is 40 mill now if the price comes down to 25-30 and we can shift a few players we may do both deals

when speculating on signings you should look at our pattern , with the exception of holberg and the wolves Lad who were both good deals to very specific areas we needed all our other recent buys are Late teens to early twenties with huge potential ceilings , ie 100 million players if they fulfill their potential

I hope Dragon is right but I don't think the market is there for us to raise funds for two. Right now one would be a touch. Top clubs seems to be struggling to shift their deadwood.

Does sound promising on Watkins anyway.

That would be far fetched, remember the scandinavian languages and names can rather difficult for english speaking people. But there are also plenty of other names from around the world that present the same problem.
I for one are very happy with the amount of ITK we have this window, and also that there are more of a strategy behind of out transfers. This is not a simple window by any means, but for now things looks good. We always want more but as long it is a step in the right direction....

To save some stress for us all, myself included, let’s remember that no striker signing by Saturday won’t mean our season is over already - the existing squad, including Kane, can play the first few matches.

Can we not discuss the reliability of certain ITK. Every single day some of you make it your mission to try and get this thread locked for the rest of us. Read the ITK...take it with a pinch of salt and keep it moving.

As I posted in the Watkins thread, as a club we need to be much, much smarter about succession planning.

What if we buy two strikers with a high ceiling for a combined £50-£60m this summer and (don’t kill me for this!) sell Harry Kane next summer for £120m because he’s approaching 29 and wants to go to Madrid or Barca.

Is that better than selling him next summer and having to pay 40% over the odds for the same player because everyone knows we’re cash rich?

If we’re starting to think about transfers that way, which I really hope we are, then two strikers this summer might make a lot of sense.

What’s dragon1 track record like? Reliable?

The one word of caution I'd advise is that he hadn't really had any ITK for ages. He got into an argument on FTL, was antagonising everyone, threatened to fight people, go to their office and "hang them out the window", etc. He then went back to COYS (which he's absolutely slated for years, so I'm surprised they let him back!) and now suddenly he's posting tons and tons of ITK. Without bashing, I'd suggest the customary pinch of salt as I suspect he's trying to "re-establish" himself on COYS and might inadverntetly be over-doing it by posting stuff he wouldn't have posted before. Not questioning his credentials but we've seen before how ITKs being a bit over-eager can lead to a slippery slope. I think it's probably safe to leave that there, treat Dragon as ITK but with the pinch of salt you should be using for everyone.

bearing in mind coys follow all of the other sites and if anyone slags them off they ban them i am amazed at this, especially with some of the other stuff you get banned for. when i was a mod there(dont ask) they were always very very keen to get him posting and it always annoyed prof if he posted on FTL before it came to him, so think Rob is pretty accurate, it suits dragon to post a lot and probably satisfies coys, whether it is accurate or not is another matter entirely
