I personally think that BAle will be utterly stupid it go to Real "Super Classless" Madrid after they way they have conducted themselves this year... well, and many other years.

There is no reason to leave Spurs, he earns plenty of money, if he wants CL football he will get it with us.

Sorry to break this to you, but Madrid will pay him more. They will be in champions league. They are bigger than us and if he wants to make this Bale 11 thing a real Global Brand he will move on. Maybe not just yet, but the saying "strike while the iron is hot" applies very much when you have a short career.

I hope I am wrong, but I fear that all the money we are apparently offering may be the proceeds of the Bale sale. We may well end up with a better team, but a bitter teaste if he goes.

I don't want another club's youth player to get a loan experience with us and then after the season he goes to his parent club........Rather we should use our own talents like ceballos , pritchard, caroll more extensively... I would take those loans only when it's an option to buy after the end of season...

It all depends on if there is an option to buy. This kid has something special about him, if we can get him on loan for the season with a reasonable option to buy than we should do it 100 %

It's to do with image.

Think of all the personal savers that would leave the bank if barca/RM were refused funds. That's the massive issue with it. screwed if they do, screwed if they don't.

There was an instance a few years back with liverpool and RBS. Because of where Lpool were with there finances technically RBS could have siezed the asset to recoup their debt (it wasn't being serviced. However that asset would have been the stadium, and that would have shut Lpool and imagine the PR damage there.

It's the same issue for the Spanish banks but on a much much bigger scale.

I stake my non reputation in here that Bale will not leave this summer. Call me naive if you like, but the club would have made a massive massive mistake IF we signed both Villa and Paulinho on the promise that Bale and AVB arent leaving.

This isnt guess work, Paulinho at the very least has been qouted and im sure i read similar for Villa... (That he was assured, not qoutes from player in this instance).

AVB himself has seemingly been promised he will stay... I mean, you just dont piss off ypur manager and all your new star players in that way as the Bale money wont mean crap when we are mid table with a manager probably looking to quit and your squad in dissaray.

Real Madrid might well publicaly make a large bid to show fans they want Bale, doesnt mean we still wont say no.

Also who knows what goes on behing the scenes. This sepcial relationship MIGHT be helping us in ways we can only speculate... What happens publicaly an what happens behind the scenes are two very different things. Fans and Media have to be fed and played as much as used. Who is to say that Higuain not going to Arsenal if reports are true is not as a direct result of RM doing us a favour (as much as themselves)? I dont know, but does anyone here?

Relax, there is absolutely no way Levy would allow Bale to leave in this window. Levy would end up with massive egg on his face if he did, and it would show a serious lack of ambition. Even the Levy can do no wrong crew, would struggle to defend him.
