(Cleared with Rob), Spurs very unlikely to sign Eze this month as it stands. It’s more likely to be a deal for the summer. Spurs very interested, as is the player but face stiff competition from United (amongst other big clubs) who are willing to pay him silly money. Big decision for the boy.

Lame, seems like a now or never transfer if the other big clubs are interested.

When you have pressing needs (clearly) in other areas of the squad then that sadly makes sense.

Thanks for the info.

I’m hoping this is because we are more concerned with other positions that need addressing with limited funds

I agree, that's just not acceptable. "unlikely this month as it stands, deal for summer", whats the reason for this Daniel?
Sometimes it’s in everyone’s interest to do the deal another time. Spurs and other more important acquisitions, the kid and his development, QPR obviously would like to hold onto him for as long as possible etc etc. It’s not a case of Daniel not wanting to do the deal now for no good reason.

Iirc ITK earlier also said about Eze deal is more possible in summer than this month.
Also, we bought last summer Ndombele, Sess and Lo Celso and I'm pretty sure other clubs were interested in them :)

Thanks for the info. This shows why getting top 4 is going to be so important in allowing us to continue to land our targets when facing competition from other top 6 clubs this summer. We need a proper January injection.

Lets just hope Levy backs his man. Otherwise, what's the point?

Hopefully we do secure Eze either this window or the next. Looks a real prospect!

So you’re saying this transfer is far from Eze :cautious:

(Cleared with the guys) Bowen now unlikely to happen this month. Hull demanding fair amount more than we are willing to pay and not looking like they’ll lower asking price. Spurs never wanted to pay big money for the player. A deal that would only be done if they could get a good price as we have another promising young RW in Clarke and have other more important positions to sign. Other clubs are more desperate than us for him so also willing to pay higher.

Give this guy a blue background.

It doesn't make sense. Either you want the player or not.

If he's not high priority, identify the player that is and get him.

Our transfer strategy is fucking awful.
