Haven't said this yet but I would sell IF we had a good creative CM replacement lined up. I don't think we can get one in time so probably not a goer in my view. Honestly, who could we get? If we got Parker and Diarra for Modric and Palacios I would cry.

The whole Modric thing has obviously had the same effect as the Berbatov thing but at the rumours of todays rags £40m is more than enough for him IMHO aslong as Levy has somebody to take some of the sting out of it and come in to appease the fans. id be happy to get rid of him bring in a leader for that v.wobbly back line Samba/Cahill ( Samba is more of a leader for me ) and a top WF OR Striker with the cash aswell as Diarra and or Parker. lets just get our season going FFS.

Selling Modric now would be suicide. If we'd done it right at the beginning, it would have been disappointing, but it would have given us a chance to rebuild and sort ourselves out. Have to keep him, get in at least one other central midfielder, striker and centre back and we'll finish top 4.

rebrab instantly denied it. I believe rebrab. As it is what we have been hearing for the longest time.

If things have changed re: Modric stance, I would expect the Mods/Goat to know by tomorrow morning at the latest. I really can't see how one result would have changed anything. The bloke was begging to leave long before today's shambles. I think outsiders think he'll go but those at WHL realise he won't.

Cba to read this thread to see if its been mentioned, but has anyone else heard anything about Gomes? I've been hearing that he is really unhappy about being backup and is pissed off the way he has been treated by Redknapp and the coaching staff.
