All depends how far we are along in any deals.

Considering how fast this Son deal seems to be unfolding, then I would'nt totally rule out 4 deals in 5 days

Don't do it to yourself! Let's be realistic. Berahino, and now maybe Heung-Min are the closest.

We haven't heard a squeak about a CM, and despite Heung-Min coming out of the blue, I'd be surprised if we pulled that off twice.

I'd be delighted with 3 players in the next week. I don't want to expect 4, because then if we DID manage to tie up deals for 3, it would feel like a let down, which it shouldn't be.

Been on holiday in Turkey since last Friday and here for two weeks so I'll be missing all the deadline day fun. Can someone please sum up what's happening? Is there truth in the Son rumours? Who do we look like signing and offloading?

Fuck me, Bolasie. Really ? Oduwa's the same type but has got a better brain on him and he's 19.

Mitchell's black box must have the "Redknapp, buy geezers wot had blinders against us" virus.
Mitchell's black box seems to be getting slaughtered when a player one doesn't like gets mentioned, but completely ignored when we sign players such as Wimmer, Trippier, Toby, Alli. Or get linked to Son, Martial, Kramer etc.

The Bolasie stuff smacks to me of Levy smelling the fact that Palace may have to sell cheap and is lining it up for a bargain as final option.

ITK says 3 outs + 2 (possibly 3) ins

Outs - Ade (West Ham), Fazio (Everton or West Brom) and Lennon (?)

Expected Ins - Berahino, CM (but not Illarramendi; Bender or Rabiot (loan) most likely)

Additional Possibility - Lamela (Inter) being replaced by Son

Would not go a penny higher than £8m for Bolasie personally

Personally? #balla

I would be horrified if we sold Lamela and bought Bolasie

Get Son in, get some one other than Illaramendi in and leave WBA sweating on Berahino and see if we can get him for a more realistic fee

Selling Townsend and Lennon and buying Bolasie would mean trimming the squad by one but maintaining the same qualities...

ITK on Bolasie didn't read as if we were going after him. It read to me like there have been very brief negotiations about how negotiations would even continue (Spurs will be driving the terms of the transfer). Seems to have stopped at that for now while we try for other targets.

Illaramendi might prove a bit difficult to bring in, signed a 6 year contract with Sociedad today

I don't get the latest ITK. So we're not interested in Bolasie but we're willing to sign him anyway? Sounds like something we would do actually.

I read it as we've "briefed" that we're not interested, i.e. we've told press/agents that it's a non-starter, but actually at a discount price we'd probably take him (for sell on value alone).

Any ideas?

Who: Grey Fox
When: 26th August
Where: SC

Think Levy, think commercial, think Levy liking a late surprise even think cabbages.

Didn't read much into this at all. Until I reread and realized it said think commercial. AIA (huge sponsor) is Asian. Heung Min Son is South Korean and been linked with us from reliable German sources today. I know the cabbages were revealed, BUT during the "let's figure out these cabbages" phase, HMS was speculated by many to be one of the cabbages.

EDIT: Looking through this thread and seeing many posts related to mine. Love feeling like a part of the community. :)

Don't see any sell on value tbh

More likely he would be loaned to Brentford next season, max we should pay for him is £5m and even that generous, shocking player

If Kramer and Son are signed and Rob drops it on us that they were the cabbages all along, can you imagine?!

The guy who found the German sourkraut company would be knighted the cryptic overlord! :joyful:
