This is just a tactic our part, pretty sure about that. Just giving Madrid a strong nudge to give us that little bit extra needed to meet our demands/terms....and the sooner the better sort of thing.
Or is could be PSG shitting bricks about their lacklustre start to the defence of their title

This has to be the most ball gripping transfer window i've been through. Fuck knows what deadline days going to be like.

Mr baldini, welcome to spurs.

I'm sat in Morrison's car park, smoking and reading this. This appears to be a bad place to try dogging for the first time.

Tesco's. But only on a Thursday and then only between 11am and 1pm because just after 1pm is when the local opera society next door start arriving for rehearsals. It's no fun getting into a car with a lady sat in it and whopping your old chap out only to be beaten around the head by some old hag dressed as Brunhilde who is just arriving to rehearse Götterdämmerung.

This belongs in the Supermarket thread :)

Love this. If we're going to become a big gun in world football, no harm in demanding some respect right now and forcing another team to pay the price we've set. It may even put Real off trying to steal our best players in the future too.
From Levy's perspective he must be thinking, you did this with Modric, now you're trying it with Bale, it's time you realised we are a bigger club than you give us credit for. I'm surprised we didn't try offering him out to other teams earlier, but probably better timing at this late stage.

Something just doesn't add up properly.
This whole debacle has been just messed up from the start, lots of little twists and turns. Something isn't quite right somewhere with the whole Bale to Madrid thing.
I think it's still 50/50 as to whether he'll stay or go.
Don't think it's a clear cut thing yet.
Too much conflicting report, too much conjecture, too much wrong speculation, lots of weird things going on - injuries, holidays, back in training, AVB comments shifting slightly, another bid come in etc etc.

Something just doesn't seem quite right.
It's not a simple deal, granted, and there'll be a huge amount of posturing from both sides, but behind closed doors, this deal would have been very simple to complete. Agree the fee, agree the structure. If Real haven't actually BID yet, what the fuck.....?!?!?

£100million or he stays. Simple. Madrid hope we lower price. We don't. Will they pay, won't they pay? All Itk has said pretty much the same. Today though we get ValenciaYid hinting Bale might want to stay... Lovely jubbly!

Edit: sorry, Atlanta yid, p 2 this thread.

Thing to consider tho, is the Spanish people in general dont like to be messed about ( which i think this is a ploy DL is using) and could very well walk away from the deal to take GB to RM..i have to say i cannot for the life of me understand why the likes of PSG Monaco etc havent even made an enquiry!

Time will tell i guess, but i think RM have played this wrong, i also believe the Willian saga was more of a swipe at RM, from Mouriniho to put a block on the Bale move...no love lost there between Mourinhio and RM.

Question is if GB does stay, will we be getting the GB of last year! or a half hearted GB!!

We fucking better be unwilling to sell to another PL club.

Wouldn't mind him going to City for £100m+. Of all the lottery winning clubs they at least behave with a bit of dignity. Arsenal, United and Chelsea are more our rivals in the short to medium term.
